   Heather Myers was born and raised in Coatesville, PA. She graduated with the class of 1996 from Coatesville Area Senior High. She is the proud mother of two sons, Shaquille and Gordon.    Heather has been writing poems since the age of nine. Blooming Flower

A blooming flower I’m said to be

Once covered with thorns that only hindered me

Though the thorns were never strong enough

Cause everything and anything was able to touch

It seemed as if, I was the only one being pricked

By these thorns that I thought were so thick

I hardened my heart and closed my eyes

I couldn’t enjoy God’s love that came with the sunrise

Wilted and dried I came to be

Whenever He rained His love down on me,

I picked up my roots and tried
