Behind your situation lies purpose. Broken things become useful in God’s time. Life is Like a Puzzle. Life is a like a test that you can fail if you don’t do it right. We can touch hearts of the hurting in different ways. After a long winter, spring eventually comes and with it new leaves appear on the trees in all their refreshing beauty. Take care of your heart. You are responsible for your heart because it is the engine if your life. Pain is unavoidable and suffering is optional. There is healing after hurt.
Your case is settled in heaven. Concentrate on things you love. Let go! Let God! Allow healing to take place. Your case is settled in heaven. Concentrate on things you love. Let go! Let God! Allow healing to take place. There is healing power of forgiveness. We do not prolong our pain by continuing to focus on unforgiveness. People differ in the sense that many can face life again despite emotional traumas while others remain stuck with either the healing or the hurting process for many years. You cannot run before God. Every person on earth lives out a unique script of hardship. Wellness and fitness is wealth. Each area of your life is connected to all the others. Like a chain, you are only as strong as your weakest link.

It all started in the morning of the 25th of June 2019 as I was doing my work-out routine, walking on the streets around Block P East, where I stay in Thohoyandou at Limpopo Province. As I was passing a Wesleyan Church under the Leadership of Pastor Mudziwa, I heard people talking in the building while packing the chairs. I thought they were preparing for prayer. I was tempted to go in because prayer is my lifestyle.
When I entered the church, I found out it was Mr Johannes (Joe) Tshikovhi and Mr Davis Thathana preparing to start the elderly exercise class at 6:30am. When I entered the building, Mr Tshikovhi said to me come in you are welcome Dr Anniekie Ravhudzulo
. He said to me that Mr Thathani and him (Mr Tshikovhi) were talking about me. He further said Mr Thathana, come and see the person we were ‘gossiping’ about yesterday
.
As I was still surprised, Mr Thathana came to where Mr Tshikovhi I were standing and he said, "We were talking about the dream I dreamt last week. This is how the dream goes, God showed me a vision of you wearing these exact clothes you are wearing. He told me that, can you see this woman? Not very long, she will come and join you (the group in what you are engaged in)." Then I responded and said, this is an amazing Grace.
I responded to Mr Thathana and Mr Tshikovhi and said: "I only came back from Pretoria yesterday. I am on two weeks leave, and I will have to go back on Thursday the 27th June 2019 because I will be Empowering Young Adults (Unashamed Youth) at His Will Worship Centre (HWWC) at 6 pm".
While I was still there, I saw the elderly people from our Block coming for exercises. I joined them, I was given time to lead the group and I introduced some exercises. When I am in Pretoria, I attend Yoga Classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays when I am available. I enjoy the wellness and fitness classes very much and they improved my health after my husband Dr Aaron Ravhudzulo was called to rest by God.
I shared with them different exercises, experiences and skills. The group was very excited after the session. The session close by the word of prayer. As I was about to go, Mrs Mahlodi Elsie Tshivhase raised her hand and requested to say something and she was allowed to do so. People gave her that opportunity and she said, "Since Dr Anniekie is amongst us here today, why can’t we ask her to give this group a name, she is very good in that. Dr Anniekie is an author of spiritual, academic and motivational books. I am just thinking out of the box that maybe she can do something for us".
My response was "With due respect, I am humbled to be entrusted with naming the group. I am at the final stage of my book entitled Hurting Circumstances Arise in the lives of people which I am publishing in overseas. I will request them not to release it so that I can include the information about the good work you are doing as a group of elderly. Therefore, I will dedicate the book to the group".
The same morning I had two business meetings one at 11:00am at Makhado (Louis Trichardt) and the other one at 14:30 at Thohoyandou. As I was driving, I prayed requesting God to give me the name of the group. Indeed, He did, and the name is; "Grace Wellness and Fitness for the Elderly". I continued to pray about this project and God revealed many things. I started my day with brightness. The photo below is for the participants who were present on that day in order to include it in the dedication.

Mr Tsumbedzo Makharamedzha and Pastor Mudau explained to me that they meet Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. They also explained that there is no monthly subscription fee; rather they each give R10.00 to buy polish to keep the church clean. As I was about to take the photo, the group wanted me to be in the group photo. I realized that when the Grace of God locates you, it breaks all protocols.
Why am I saying this? When the Grace of God is upon you it locates you, speaks for you, directs you and the favour of people, goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life. The founder of the group came and shared with me how he felt about starting the group which meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and do some exercises together for the elderly until he raised it during the Civic Community Meeting. People bought the idea and he was excited as he was sharing with me.
On the 02nd July 2019, the Department of Health visited the group of the elderly and administered from Thohoyandou for Weight, High Blood Pressure and Glucose. During that time, I was still on leave at home (Thohoyandou) and I witnessed this process. Research has shown that maintaining regular physical activity can help prevent many common diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes. Exercise improves overall immune function, which is important for seniors as their immune systems are often compromised.
It is very true that Hurting Circumstances Arise in the lives of people. Mr Samuel Ndonyane experienced the pain of stroke twice in his life, but the Grace of God healed him. The first time it was immediately after he was ministering at the conference. He realized that he cannot speak anymore. People like Mr Jeremiah Marema was with him at the conference. The second time it was in December 2018 when he was coming back from Church with his wife Grace Ndonyane. He got another huge stroke, and he survived it by the Grace of God. From there, he joined this group and started with the maintenance of his healing. The devil is a liar and a looser. Faith is the key that unlocks the hearts of people to the love of God, Faith in His Son who loves His people. And the faith of the Son of God is the weapon we use against the devil.
Mrs Mahlodi Elsie Tshivhase who is 80 years of age shared with me the Testimony about how attending exercise classes changed her life. She said, "Before I joined the exercise classes the following was happening to me:
• I supported my walking with a walking stick
• Bowls would take two to three days without working
• Having cramps especially when sleeping
• I could not touch my toes whether sitting or standing
• Always feeling tired
• For me, turning when sleeping was a problem
• I can now do all things for myself because of the exercises.
I Dr Anniekie Ravhudzulo also shared my testimony about how YOGA changed my health and life style completely. The death of my beloved husband Dr Aaron Ravhudzulo had a negative impact to my health and life. I was diagnosed with all chronic diseases because of tension and stress. I was even admitted to the hospital because of the abnormal readings of glucose, blood pressure and high cholesterol. I joined the YOGA classes in Pretoria where I work. I make it a point that I don’t miss any of the classes. Presently, the last session of all my workshops and seminars, end with YOGA activities where I encourage people to do exercises on a daily basis. The response is very positive because I walk my talk. Life has taught me that every prodigal has his or her own story of redemption to tell. Just have a look at some photos of how I motivate and encourage others below:
1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg5.jpgMy experience tells me that exercise is good for the elderly and aging adults. It is just a matter of making it a priority and a habit in your daily life. In the aging population, exercise has been shown to prevent disease, lower the risk of falls, improve mental health and well-being, strengthen social ties, and improve cognitive function.
Chapter 1
The Hurting and Healing
To me, it is not surprising that we have so much stress, pressure, depression and anger in our society and in our country South Africa in particular. Countless people are walking with unhealed emotional wounds. The estimates are that at least one in four people fall in the category of walking wounded and hurting in life. Life, not guns, inflicts these wounds.
People with their mindless or heartless behaviours are responsible for hurting the ones they care for. Who are these walking wounded and hurting? Everybody knows about the orphaned, the abused, abandoned and the neglected. But what about those who did not experience such dramatic events in their lives, but have suffered enough?
The hurting are people whose parents were totally absent and occupied with their own interests, reading newspaper and never had the time for them as they were growing up. Some, while being raised by single parents, were left alone for long periods and feel that they had to raise
