Black Jack Davy

Black Jack Davy has been a songwriter and musician most all his life. He is well versed in the Old Time music of the Appalachian hills and Celtic music as well. He has written and collected folk songs and fiddle tunes for over 50 years. He wrote his first song in 1969 and never looked back. He plays the fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, octave mandolin, harmonica, piano, the whistles and sings. Known for his scratch fiddle style and harmonic voice, he has been mostly a back porch player, entertaining people in the old style way. He has been in many bands over the years- Celtic, Old Time, Folk, Blues, Cowboy music, and enjoys playing benefits for worthy causes. He can be found sometimes in the corn patch with a banjo.
