About this ebook

“Get set Go,” is what I describe as an instigator knowledge; it speaks of life as God’s provision which cannot be understood without the same God as understanding is paramount to effective maximization of any acquisition. It brings to the cognition that men have come to Christ Jesus with our lives and are privileged to say that the yoke and burden we brought to him have been taken off and that the rest mood Jesus gives has become our testimony; however we also know that in that rest is yet another yoke and burden that Jesus gives which he promises to be easy and light.

This book lights the fact that life continues through heaven and this heaven has a way which does not pass through any mansion or mission house and that material stuff must not deny man of God. This book points out in the pursuit of life, falling is possible but not inevitable and that the one that falls is the one that rise and the experience is passed on to another. One may weep yet remain helpless; make phone calls yet would change nothing except the Lord allows. A situation may not be the will of God but God allowed. Enjoy and get imparted with the declaration segments in this book.

    About The Author

    PROLOGUE

    This book ‘‘GET SET, GO’’ is authored objectively to bring to the table of believers of Christ to a level where they can understand the author of Christianity based on where the author- Christ Jesus positioned himself as dependent on his assertions. This book lights up the knowledge of Christ Jesus in men who have just genuinely declared the salvation confession.

    It focuses extensively on information that pertains to building up faith in Christ Jesus. Just as a manual is needed for efficient and effective use of a Samsung phone; just as a course outline is necessary for a course commencement; just as an academic brochure is needed to aid a student during an academic expedition, so is the bible of ultimate necessity to a believer. This book focuses on what a believer must know as he begins a new journey as a Christian. The first outline being that ‘‘Christ Jesus is not a Christian but rather Christianity and a Jew.’’

    Being a Christian is the best news to be told about a man; the best experience to ever share and the best information to be storied about a man. It is the point where a man receives a self spiritual revolution that will grace him with eternal life. The heavenly handbook may be in your hands but what is in it must be in you. The word of God must travel from being in a believer’s hands to entering and abiding in the heart of a believer. Men have lost precious materials and wasted talents due to absence of guidance and understanding to what they owned or possessed. Some say: ‘‘a talent without education is useless’’ and I say ‘‘everything without Christ is nothing.’’

    How will the state of a man’s emotion and feelings be if the man has something more than wonderful and yet doesn’t know or understand a thing about it?

    ‘Get set, Go’, is a book which begins with the explanation to the notion that ‘a man must know the understanding of what he knows and its interpretation thereof. It begins by telling believers to know again what they have known from reading the bible as it makes a clear analogy from traffic lights; which though are in colours but each colour has its corresponding meaning that comes with it. At this, knowing just the colour of a traffic light without the understanding makes the knowledge of the colour less useful. Ignorance to the meaning of traffic colours whiles driving have high tendency of occurrence of accident.

    Believers must know what they possess as they live their new lives as Christians. They must stick to the bible to make their movement with God smooth and comforting. Jesus had to stand by what he knew without faltering:

    Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, ‘He is out of his mind’. And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, ‘He is possessed by Beelzebub. By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.’

    Mark 3:20-22

    Jesus, during his earthly ministry was told by his family that ‘He was out of his mind’, which I believe was the carnal truth because his mind was set to fulfil spiritual assignment and establish the loving will of God upon mankind. I believe the family was right but Jesus knew what he was doing and that, his being out of his mind as asserted by his family did not blow him away from his God given purpose. Nothing about God can be understood without God.

    Jesus may be out of his mind according to Jesus’ family’s judgment but his ‘out of his mind’ mindset was perfectly in alignment with the will of God.

    As though what the family said was not enough, the teachers of the law also added their voice to the ministrations of Christ Jesus describing him as Beelzebub possessed. The teachers further went on to teach that Christ Jesus drive out demons by the prince of demons.

    Christ Jesus’ family’s perception and the teachings of the teachers of the law about him however did not sway Christ Jesus off of what he knows about himself and his purpose; neither did it shake the foundation of his course on earth. He knew, understood, taught and defended what he knew.

    ‘‘Get set, Go,’’ trumpets that believers must know, understand and hold firmly to the faith they profess in Christ. It covers Christ Jesus as the only true way to live; the only true way to eternal life. It lays great emphasis on the salvation of men and the position of the saved and the unsaved as revealed by Christ Jesus. The journey of life begins with him, continues with him and ends with him- Christ Jesus—though the Christ- life does not end.

    Let family and friends evidently question a believer’s faith in Christ Jesus and let believers hold on to the light and knowledge of Christ Jesus and let God decide which man to glorify.

    CHAPTER ONE

    KNOWING AGAIN

    The eyes may see- what is seen can be far or near;

    The ears may hear- what is heard can be clear or unclear;

    The nose may smell that which is pleasing or disgusting;

    The tongue may taste; what the tongue taste can be sour or palatable

    It has to explain the vision from the eyes; explain the heard information by the ears; the smell from the nose and the savour from the tongue- the mind.

    What this piece seeks to elaborate is the fact that there is likely to be understanding behind the information and ideas that the senses and mind conceive.

    Zion River Chapel believes if there is understanding behind a subject or information conceived in the mind, then the understanding is likely (not always) to come with a level of explanation.

    It is ultimately imperative to know the understanding of what you know.

    The following scenarios explains knowing and knowing again:

    1. Fooballing scenario

    2. Traffic light scenario

    3. How can I?

    Footballing scenario

    The medical team of Barcel fc comes on to the football pitch in Santgo Barnabeu and carry Andres Iniest from the pitch because Pepo, one of Real Madrids full back (defender) has badly injured him.

    At this the referee took a red card from his pocket and lifted the card at Pepo. The captain of the Madrid Club rushed to referee while the Madrid supporters in the stadium watching the match screamed and shouted "nooooooooo’’ at the referee. The entire Madrid team was in shock, Madrid’s head coach Marinho was upset with the decision of the referee. Unlike their opponents, smiles run through their faces – both players and supporters.

    With all the reactions from the people in the stadium, Pepo left the pitch to the dressing room after being red carded.

    From this scenario;

    The red card pointed to Pepo is just a card wearing a red color. It meant he was disqualified from playing the ongoing football match. The card is not an ordinary card that the referee flags to players for flagging sake but it has a meaning; it comes with understanding. It is not enough to see and know the card but one need to know the understanding behind red cards and any other card that sits in the pocket of the referee.

    It is one thing to be in Santgo Barnabeu and another to understand the red card rule.

    Traffic light scenario

    As a growing kid in Ghana my teacher taught me this song:

    ‘‘when you see the traffic light

    there is something you must know

    red means stop

    yellow means get ready

    green means go, go, goo and goooo"

    The song is combination of traffic light colors with their corresponding understanding. In other words, it is not enough to see red or yellow traffic light. One need to know and locate a traffic light, the color and also know what the colors means. It is not enough to know the color of a traffic light without further understanding to the color. Ask yourself what may happen if someone driving a big truck sees red lighted traffic light and still keep driving on a busy road?

    Know the understanding of what you know!

    Know the explanation that unravel the understanding of what you know!

    How can I?

    This accounts to a biblical dialogue between Philip and an Ethiopian eunuch who had gone to Jerusalem to worship. The eunuch was heading home when Philip by the direction of the spirit met him.

    Acts 8:29…..

    and the Spirit told Philip, go to that chariot and stay near it.

    Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. Do you understand what you are reading? Philip asked

    Verse 31…

    "how can I" he said, "unless someone explains it to me? So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. The eunuch was reading this passage of scripture: He was led like a sheep to the slaughter and as lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth."

    How can I as said by the eunuch to Philip is clear indication that the I can read and read repeatedly something but the I will need further information. The I being an eunuch in a chariot doesn’t guarantee that the I understands what the I reads.

    Philip did not only know the scripture the eunuch read but he knew beyond what was written is that scripture. In other words Philip understood what the eunuch could read. The eunuch said "how can I, unless someone explains it to me." Philip was that someone sent by the Spirit to explain the it the eunuch was reading.

    The I being in Jerusalem and even worshipping in Jerusalem is one thing while understanding a scripture is another thing.

    It is clear from the entire piece that the eyes, ears, nose and tongue may send information to the mind and most times the information needs further information to the understanding of the information by means of an explanation or interpretation.

    You can hear of people’ marriages, attend marriage ceremonies, cut cakes and decorate marriage ceremonies but that doesn’t guarantee your understanding of marriage.

    Questions:

    What have you heard, seen or tasted since you got born again into the Christendom?

    Did you understand the information you have heard or read?

    If you understood what you read, saw, heard or tasted; what then was the explanation behind the understanding?

    What happens when one receives the word of God without it’s corresponding understanding?

    KNOWLEDGE OF UNDERSTANDING

    The first three questions are more or less challenging questions that will help you to seek not only knowledge but also seek its agreeing understanding through explanation.

    However, the last question is answered below this sub topic titiled knowledge of understanding. The light of this section is switched on with quotes from Christ Jesus.

    Matthew 13:1-5

    That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in, while all people stood on the shore. He then told them many things in parables saying: ‘A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering his seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have many soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow.

    Matthew 13:19

    When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is seed sown along the path.

    Anyone who receives message about the kingdom and does not understand the message loses the message received. In other words anyone who receives the message of the kingdom and does not understand is just like someone who did not receive the message at all. It
