About this ebook

Body image, bullying, toxic relationships, social media—many issues contribute to rising levels of stress, depression, and self-harm among our youth. Young people need more references for learning ways to combat these issues safely and without guilt or shame.

STAY highlights problems affecting our youth while uplifting them and offering them options to combat their struggles. Author Janice Fry’s mission is to help young people cope with the burdensome issues of today while offering guidance to parents in discussing controversial topics with their kids. With the motto “using my past to help someone’s future,” Janice incorporates her personal experiences throughout.

It’s important for all young people to learn to love themselves, independent of the opinions of others. When you understand that God made you to be a beautiful person in your own right, you can start to acquire your true value and stay on the path to the life you are meant to have. This self-improvement guide helps modern teens overcome the difficult issues they face and learn to accept themselves and embrace their true value.

    INTRODUCTION

    The Meaning of STAY

I want to explain the meaning of the title of this book, but first, I want to say that you are all beautifully made.

The title of this book stands for "starting to acquire your true value."

As you journey through life, you learn to develop skills and qualities that help to mold you into the excellent person you are meant to be.

While developing those skills and qualities, you will begin to love yourself more for who you are. You will start to know that you are worth everything God has prepared for you. You will know that you are worth every gift of life God has promised you. If people throw negative energy toward you, you will know that you are worth much more than they might think.

Never let another person’s views make you wonder if you should be here on this earth. Of course you should be here, because God put you here.

Your reason for being—your purpose—will one day be revealed. Do not be discouraged if things look a bit grim right now. If it is the Lord’s will, you have many more years to go.

Live out your dreams. Conquer your fears. Squash all of your doubts, and cast your worries aside. You have enough time on your hands to experience many great things, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

Things will not always go your way, but still, you must live your life to the fullest every day.

I love you, and I have faith in you. Don’t leave
