Phew, that stinks! said Scraps.

This is a story of danger, peril, and terrible smells! And, of course, best friends Sprocket and Scraps, who went on an adventure to retrieve a stolen squeaky toy.

Sprocket and Scraps became friends at Ol’ Ma Johnson’s Stray Cat and Dog Refuge, which was a few miles outside of town. Sprocket is a mongrel with wiry grey fur and a long grey beard. His big, bushy eyebrows are not the same height, so he always has a quizzical look. And he loves to wear bobble hats. Scraps is also a mongrel. He has big ears, one of which always points straight up. Patches of brown fur on his feet make it look like he is wearing socks.

Ol’ Ma Johnson, a short, round sort of person, took in strays from miles around and tried her best to find them new homes. That was where Scraps got his favourite squeaky toy. Although Ol’ Ma Johnson loved the
