They are my best allies and encouragement supporters. They are my most precious jewels.Due to the Covid issues, I am not presently working at Floyd's Barber Shop in downtown Mount Airy, best known as Mayberry, NC. Known from the Andy Griffith Show that ran from 1960 through 1968 and the hometown of Andy Griffith. We get thousands of people annually in the small, quaint town and we love our visitors, whether just looking or getting an actual haircut. We would love for you to visit us. As far as working, we'll see how long this virus takes hold.I love doing many things: writing, reading, drawing, sewing, jewelry making, barbering, woods, photography, making soaps, creams, butters and more. I never find myself bored and life is a story regardless if it is verbal or in type.I am a Cancer survivor and thanks to Jesus for His supporting hand during a difficult period. Thanks to my husband for standing firm beside me through the ordeal. We turned my cancer into a positive situation and kept an upbeat attitude. Cancer affects an entire family, not just the victim. For those out there with cancer or those who have been through it, cancer is not the end and you're never alone. You never know what touches others. This could go either way; good or bad. But through writing you are able to express and hopefully bring a little entertainment to others. It only takes a word to make a person smile and you never know when a word could pick someone up who is down. We do not have to be authors in its truest form of the title, but do what you enjoy and if it is writing, then enjoy when you do it. Thank you Smashwords for giving thousands of people the opportunity to voice their thoughts through self publishing. It's fun and easy to do. The hardest part is self editing. Locating errors can and will be your hardest part in self-publishing your books. Don't let that stop you! If you have stories that you placed high on that top shelf years ago, it is time to get them down and march forward. Never allow anyone to tell you that you can't. We may never be known other than to ourselves, but do it for yourself and because of your love for writing. Thanks to all of you that have downloaded samples or purchased downloads of my books. You are appreciated. If you have any encouraging words or simply want to point out (my text errors - because they are extremely hard to find yourself), please feel free to contact hurn5262@yahoo.com. Please leave a response in Subject line regarding the story or it will not be opened. Be blessed, Jesus loves each of you very much. Take care!view less
