About this ebook
Born May 4th of 1993, Sean is the only child of Latanya Williams. At an early age Sean developed a heart for God and his people. December 14th of 2008 Sean accepted his call into the ministry under the leader of Elder Daniel X. Smith. At the age of 15 years old Sean preached his first sermon entitled "Nothing Old Attached". While the road has not been easy Sean would say it has definitely been worth it and ten years later Sean has developed into a powerful young man of God flowing in all five ministry gifts.
Elder Smith's life continues to be an example of the works of the Lord: how ability and anointing come together to create an illustration of a chosen vessel. Eyes have not seen, nor ears heard, the great things God has in store for Elder Sean D. Smith and his family.
Sean D. Smith
Author and leader who is also a servant; a motivator who is also a steward; a teacher: conscientious and innovative; a counselor: compassionate yet assertive. A man of integrity and honor; Elder Sean D. Smith is not only a minister but a visionary. While Webster’s dictionary defines excellence as the quality of being excellent; state of possessing good qualities in an eminent degree, exalted merit; and superiority in virtue; this definition could easily have been simplified by stating: the works of the Lord through Sean D. Smith Born May 4th of 1993, Sean is the only child of Latanya Williams. At an early age Sean developed a heart for God and his people. First and foremost, I want to thank my heavenly father for giving the opportunity to share my gift with the world. I promised the Lord ten years ago that I would use every gift he gave me to bless others. I hope that this book motivates you to pursue God in a much deeper way. My prayer is that the gift of entrepreneurship and leadership would begin to overflow in your life. That the sons and daughters of Jesus Christ would rise up and step into their purpose. I also want to thank my parents, family, friends and church family for believing in me and pushing me to go after God with all of my heart. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank you, yes you for supporting this book and I hope that you are richly blessed by it.
Introduction
Have you ever wondered what your purpose was? In fact many people spend their entire lives trying to find out what they were created for? 10-15 years later they find out that their purpose in life was something that they were already doing. I’ve come to discover that purpose is often derived from pleasure. Things that we like to do tend to be the very thing that we are called to do. When God spoke to me to begin to write this book, immediately I became enthusiastic about writing. It was at that moment that I realized that God had purposed me for something far greater. You see you born to be great, this means that at your birth greatness was already placed on the inside of you. You must know that you were not just born to live, but to achieve the destiny and greatness God has planned for your life. It is crucial that you know where your DNA lies and who child you are. When you identify yourself with Christ you are literally making the first step into destiny. To show that you have purpose and destiny, God said: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations
(Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV).
Do not worry about the title in this verse; all of us have been called to do the work of Him that sent us. You do not need a title, position, entourage, special seat in the sanctuary to be used by God. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is not predicated upon your inability or ability to do something. God has called you for a greater purpose not because of who you are but because of who He is. The best advice sometimes comes from those that you least expect it. I want people to be empowered to walk in the authority of Christ. Regardless of where you are or what stage you are at in your life, you still have purpose bottled up but it is up to you to unlock it. When God created man, He created man in His image and His likeness. The same power and purpose that rest on His life lives in your life; you are powerful because you are heir of Christ and have been washed in the blood of the crucified one. God’s Word tells us that He has come to give us life MORE abundantly and this is why we must focus on the fulfilling our purpose in order to live our best life. The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy which lets us know that we will have opposition along the way to our best life. The thief is not only Satan but it is also things and people that distract you from your purpose and destiny. If we are not careful we can become overwhelmed with life challenges and trials that will ultimately lead us down a road of depression and disparity. When you are not sure of your calling in life you can find yourself roped in certain cycles or patterns that you can’t get yourself out of. You will find yourself in a blind Bartimaeus situation sitting on the side of the road begging; doing the same thing day after day because you have become accustomed to having people fill your cup. You will never find purpose in the familiar; however purpose is always locked in the uncommon. Break out of your old habits, rituals and routines and do something that you have never done before. Don’t allow life to taunt you and have you wandering in the wilderness of your life aimlessly. When people spend half of their life not feeling accomplished or satisfied with themselves they tend to fall into further complications and develop all sorts of emotional plagues.
Dissatisfaction and unhappiness leads to the following emotional challenges to thrive:
Jealousy
Frustration
Premature death and/or aging
Financial instability
Depression
Lack of self-confidence
Low self-esteem
Lack of self-appreciation and respect
Underachievement
Anxiety
Lazy and lackadaisical attitude
These emotional challenges can take over your life when you don’t know who are and whose you are. If you are a child of the most-high God then these emotional challenges can reside with you. Don’t fall into a stupor when the word of God says that Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us
(Romans 8:7). Because of the love that Christ has for his children he will not suffer your foot to be moved. In everything we must look to him for directions and instruction knowing that through His love he will bring forth greatness even with all of the broken pieces of our lives. I want to challenge you to take action and move forward in purpose because you are a winner. Choose to become passionate about the things of God and make it happen.
It is my desire that that as you are reading my book, you will discover your purpose and realize that God is fighting for you! In
