The New Phoenix: Ancient Theologies Appear in Christianity Today
()
About this ebook
In The New Phoenix, author Jackie Madison explains how just like the phoenix is resurrected from death, there is a doctrine that has survived several false religions and movements. The religions will die, but the doctrine—which is the spirit of that religion—will rise again. The doctrine she is referring to is the Kingdom Now movement, also known as Dominion theology. Jackie shares her firsthand experience walking on dangerous ground, as she finally learns the truth about this doctrine, the movement, and its leadership.
With each resurrection of this theology and doctrine, the followers of the movement proudly announce that God is doing a new thing. But God isn’t doing a new thing. The phoenix is rising again!
Jackie Madison
Jackie wears many hats; she is a wife and mother of three children. She is the proud grandmother of six grandchildren. She is an artist who studied art at Margret Hand School of Art in Gadsden Alabama. She also is a Real Estate Agent, now retired. She is from the south, but she now resides in Maryland with her husband. Although she has enjoyed every hat that was given to her, she is looking forward to exchanging them for a crown someday when she reaches her eternal home.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I would like to give a word of praise and thanks to the one who stands by me in my new and wild adventures. That, of course, would be my husband who has the patience of Job and the strength of David. God knew he needed this valuable personality if he was going to spend the rest of his life with me. I am thankful that he gave him what he needed. I am grateful to my husband for the way he has encouraged me through this new adventure I have chosen. He has spent many hours proof-reading and correcting my many mistakes. He has spent a lot of time cooking his own dinner since I was busy during the evenings. I appreciate all the time he has spent helping me, praying for me and encouraging me.
I want to thank my friend Lee for the many hours she spent editing my notes. I am not very good with punctuation and grammar. I could not have written the book without her assistance.
I want to give a special thank you to my little computer expert, my granddaughter, the one I call my pretty princess. She has more than once saved my computer from sudden destruction. If you have ever been frustrated with your computer I am sure you know what I am talking about. Seriously, have you ever felt like throwing it across the room? Fortunately, she was always there to help when I needed her.
Introduction:
We have all heard the saying, Experience is the best teacher.
This book will explain the reality of that expression. It is about the experience one family had that almost destroyed their relationships as a family and it almost destroyed their faith in God. A wrong decision and anyone can find themselves in the same situation, or one that may even be worse. If you can answer any of these questions with a yes then you already know what I am talking about.
Have you ever been in a place that you thought was heaven on earth? A place of protection with a new family who you believed would be with you for life? You committed yourself to someone who promised to lead you and take care of you forever. You felt protected from the world and all of its evil. And did you actually trust the promises of this illustrious leader to the point of leaving family, friends, your job, and home?
Were you surprised many years later, when you realized it was all a myth? When did you wake up and realize you had become nothing more than a servant to these great leaders? Was it the day they broke covenant with you and kicked you out of their heavenly kingdom?
The Madison family joined what they were told was the Kingdom of God that was being built on earth. Yet after almost ten years they were released from the kingdom, their marriage in a shamble, their oldest child gone from home and their faith almost gone. They had given their leader complete authority over their lives through a covenant relationship that was required of them. The only message the author wants to convey to the readers of this book is a warning. There is another version of this movement on the rise. They are building a new Kingdom. They are also teaching umbrella covering, covenant relationships, delegated authority and Kingdom Now Theology. Beware, these things may sound great, but some of the consequences are not great.

A HAPPY HOMECOMING
A fter being away from the family, we have finally retired and returned to our nesting place. Even though I am not a native of Maryland, this beautiful state has become my home. I have to say it is good to be home. We have lost too many years with our children and grandchildren. I thought I wanted to retire in Savannah, but being back with the children has changed my mind.
We are meeting the children and grandchildren for dinner today. Of course, that would be at our favorite Italian Restaurant. Our youngest daughter and her children will be moving to another state tomorrow, so we have moved Christmas up a couple of days to celebrate with them.
Our oldest daughter is our chauffeur for the day. That is one thing I love about having grown children. You don’t have to do the driving anymore. I use to drive them around all the time. Now it is payback time. The rest of the family has arrived and they are not hard to find. Follow the noise to the largest table in the restaurant; there they are, my big happy noisy crew. Gotta love em.
We call our oldest daughter Wonder Woman. She thinks her God-given assignment is to rescue the world. She can’t say no
to anyone. She is generous and caring to a fault. She tries to act tough sometimes but she can’t pull it off, her tender heart always tells on her. She has given us two beautiful granddaughters. Her oldest daughter I call my little Florence Nightingale. She recently married a very handsome young man that is now our grandson-in-law. Her youngest daughter is my little brown-eyed angel. She is my only brown-eyed grandchild, just like me.
My tall handsome son is sitting across the table from me with his lovely wife. She has the most beautiful blue eyes in the world. How do I know that? My son has been telling me that since she was 16 years old. They met in their teens and they have been sweethearts ever since. She loves animals, she loves to dance and she is always the life of the party. I tell her that she is my favorite daughter in law and she will remind me that she is my only daughter in law. They have given us two beautiful grandchildren. A grandson, who I call my little Einstein, only he isn’t little. He is big and tall like his dad. And a granddaughter that I am sure will be Miss America someday. My son has a lot of great points as well. However, I have a hard time communicating with him; the one thing he talks about the most is his job, which I know nothing about. It has a lot to do with computers. I can say this about him; he is really smart. I guess he takes after his dad.
Our youngest daughter has given us two beautiful grandchildren also. A granddaughter that I call my Pretty Princess. She is studying art and she is very talented. I knew she would be an artist when she was three years old and I was having to clean her art work off of my walls. Some of it was so good that I didn’t want to clean it off. And a grandson I call Gideon (God’s mighty Warrior).
My youngest daughter’s late husband passed away from cancer a few years ago. It has been rough for her and the children, being left a widow in her 30’s is something she never expected. However, she showed a great strength and faith during that time. She recently met and married a terrific young man who has two children of his own. They have all become one big happy family. We are happy for them, but we do hate to see them move so far away.
How it All Started
I was born and raised in a city near a military base, which is where I met my handsome husband. I always had a thing for men in uniform, especially if they had blue eyes, a dimpled chin and a Yankee accent; he had all the right qualifications. This meeting took place one Saturday night after I returned home from work. I received a phone call from a friend who wanted to go to a party but didn’t want to go alone. After being on my feet all day I had no desire to go anywhere but home. My friend was persistent so I gave in.
The party was happening at a home that was shared by three bachelor Officers. Shortly after we arrived I noticed this handsome guy across the room. Not only did he have all the right qualifications, he also had the straight perfectly shaped nose that I wanted all my future children to have. I knew he wasn’t married. He was wearing a bright yellow shirt, green pants, and red socks. No woman with good taste would permit her husband to dress that way. Later I found out that he was color blind. That didn’t surprise me. I managed to get acquainted with him when one of his friends came up to him and asked if he had caught any fish that day. He answered no
he had not caught anything
Opportunity was knocking and I wasn’t about to pass it up. My mother lived near a lake and she went fishing every chance she got. She had caught a large fish that she was very proud of and I had heard the story of how she caught it so many times that I had it memorized. So, I told the handsome Lt. about the large fish that I had caught. Ok so I lied (just a little) but it got his attention. He called me soon after that night and asked me for a date. I could have been overjoyed, except he wanted to go fishing. However, the fishing trip didn’t go too badly even though my mother wound up going
