Priscilla Sobremonte

Priscilla Andrea Sobremonte is the youngest daughter of Ana Cleto and Andrea Sobremonte, and baby sister to Erlinda Sobremonte-Mendoza. Priscilla graduated from California State University, Stanislaus, with her Masters degree in social work in May 1997. Working on Doctorial Degree in Organizational Leadership Grand Canyon University. Her area of interest is primarily in educating people on the importance of being sensitive to others, especially children. She strongly believes that the way to empower others is by encouraging the individualization process and helping children develop positive self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-confidence. She has worked with children who have been traumatized and/or have suffered emotional pain. She has worked in the prison system, where many wounded adult children end up. This group can be referred to as treatment failures or societys neglected ones. She was also employed in a county mental health setting, working with children and adolescents in Hospice (the most humane job of all). Let the children flourish with the wonderment they are blessed with. Let the children propagate their dreams. Let the children explore their world. And please, oh please, just love the children for who they arenot what we expect them to be. Priscilla Andrea Sobremonte, January 31, 1997 Contact: lesterpriscilla@gmail.com LinkedIn.

    Introduction

The purpose of therapeutic journaling is for the user (you) to look (explore) objectively at your life experiences, which have impacted the creation and growth of your emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual uniqueness. The questions help guide you in a fact finding direction to aid you in a systematic process to look at where you have been.

Once you can look at your life objectively, then it is hoped you can normalize some of the subjectivity that oftentimes keeps us stuck in the past. Long ago a wise person advised me that, knowledge is power, therefore knowledge of you is a powerful way to release the wounds, scares, trials, lost hopes and dreams and hopefully gain insight and peace from your journey this far.

Ancient wisdom holds that to be self-actualized is to know oneself and to be oneself; which includes being present
