Donna Lorraine Jackson

Donna Jackson is a wife, a mother of ten, an author, an inspirational speaker, a minister, and a counselor who has spent more than ten years in service to others. A Chicago native, she holds a bachelors degree in business administrative with a concentration in health care management. Through the mercy, love, and healing of Christ, she has survived sexual, mental, and physical abuse. She is committed to using her life experiences to encourage, comfort, and help others who are in need. In 2010 Donna accepted Gods calling for her life and became a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Gods redemptive love, His lordship over her life, and her passion for helping others have prompted her to write books that inspire and heal others and advance the heavenly kingdom. In addition to Identity Theft, she has authored The Strength That Lies in a Single Parent and I Never Found Love but Love Found Me. She wrote these books to encourage personal, mental, and spiritual growth and to give hope to those experiencing uncertainty and despair. Donnas mission is to heal past and present hurts and to ensure that people understand the important healing power of forgiveness. She has dedicated her life to teaching spiritual and biblical truth and to helping others discover the love of God and the divine strength that lies within us. Drawing on her education, knowledge, and experience, Donna teaches and lectures about lifes purpose and about kingdom living. She is the founder of Donna Unleashed, a collection of ministries given to her by God to serve young girls and women in need. These ministries are Out of the Rain, Inc., a nonprofit that provides transitional housing for women; I.N.S.P.I.R.E., which offers counseling and resources for mothers and young girls in need; Saving Our Sweethearts, a program dedicated to empowering young girls by preventing them from taking the wrong turn in their lives, and the Purple Heart Affair, which raises funds for women in need. Donna counts it a blessing to be used by God in all areas of her life and will continue to serve wherever and whenever God leads her. Donna is available for speaking engagements, book signings, conferences, and seminars. She may be contacted at 678-608-5969 or at donnaunleashed@gmail.com. PREFACE

Names for the Devil have been plentiful throughout time. The Devil has been called Satan, the deceiver, and the adversary and is known by many other names. I contend this entity is unworthy of a name. Names typically carry power, and it has no power other than what it is explicitly given. God has sovereign dominion over everything including the Devil. God has also given us the power we need to overcome its attacks. Therefore, the Devil’s power comes down to the choices we make and whether we have given God lordship over our lives. Our sinful choices allow the Devil to use us in unholy ways and give it the power to wreak havoc in our lives.

In this book, I have deliberately chosen to strip it of any power or respect. This includes stripping it of the power and benefit of any formal, informal, or proper name. This entity is meaningless, and if it had power, it would not have to approach the Father for permission to do anything, such as what it did to the prophet Job.

Furthermore, it does not produce goodness and has no goodness in it. As a result, it cannot and will not ever have the power of the living God. In this book, I will refer to the Devil as the thief or as it. These are fitting labels because they are indicative of its lowly, powerless status. The label thief also fully represents the Devil’s ultimate goal to steal, kill, and destroy who we
