About this ebook

Doubt the devil, Put Your Faith in God seeks to expose the lies Satan has convinced Christian to believe about his power and abilities. The word of God says Satan has no power and that all power in heaven and earth has been given to Jesus and His Church (Matthew 28:18). The word of God also teaches that Jesus has subdued Satan and destroyed his works (1 John 3:8). If this is true, then why does he seem to have the ability to cause Christians so much harm and evil? Simple, Christians who lack the fundamental understanding that Satan is a fully defeated foe are easily exploited by Satan and are hindered from receiving all the blessing God has promised. The biblical insights explained in this book will give Christians the spiritual understanding needed to better their relationship with God, renounce the lies of Satan, and stop Satan's evil influence in their life.

Doubt the devil, Put Your Faith in God - Timothy Williams

Why Christians Have Faith in the Power of the Devil

To fully understand why Christians have faith in the devil, we first have to answer this question. How does faith come? It comes by hearing (Romans 10:17). Most of what we put faith in is what we have heard. Words have been spoken to us that we have chosen to believe, and this process produces faith. Remember, the results of faith can be either positive or negative, good or evil, a blessing or a curse. When we hear the truth of God’s Word and we believe it and act on it, this produces positive results: goodness, blessings, etc. When we hear words that are inconsistent with God’s Word and we believe them and act on them, our faith produces negative results: evil, curses, etc. So whether we yield positive results or negative results with our faith depends on if the words that we hear are consistent with God’s Word or not. The force of faith in our spirit will produce whatever we believe with our heart. For example, many people in this world believe that they cannot be saved or delivered from the bondage of sin and that God does not care about them. What results do they get? They continue to receive the bondage of sin. They remain unsaved. These negative results are consistent with what they believed. They believed this because, at some point, they heard words from some human that spoke error into their lives; or the devil spoke error to them and told them they couldn’t be saved. If they hear the word that says that salvation has been purchased for every man (1 John 2:2) and if they choose to believe these words, then their faith would produce salvation in their life that Jesus died and paid for. It’s just that simple.

Christians have faith in the devil because they have heard words about him and his ability, and they have chosen to believe these words. Many Christians have heard that the devil is powerful. They have heard the devil can put sickness and disease on them and that God sometimes allows him to do it. They have heard that the devil and his demonic host should be feared because they can cause tragedy in our lives at the devil’s will. Well, for your information, Jesus wasn’t afraid of the devil. Jesus is our example of how we should walk in this life. If Jesus didn’t walk in this life afraid of the devil, then we shouldn’t either. I have no fear in my heart regarding the devil. What does that mean? Does that mean I personally do not have times when I have to confront the devil in my life? No, I can’t tell you that. We all have weaknesses. Likewise, the devil is aware of them; and many times, he takes advantage of us in these weak areas. Although I have to deal with the devil because he tempts me in my weak areas and sometimes I fail, I’m still not afraid of him. Why? Because if I had chosen not to yield to the temptation, then he could not have caused me to
