About this ebook
Darren Stoneburgh
53 year old divorced father of 4 beautiful children, Amanda, Chassity, Jessica and Charlie. And I have four beautiful grandchildren, I am a 10 year veteran of the United States Army, and served during the first Gulf war in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Was stationed at Fort Hood Texas with the HELL ON WHEELS 2cd Armored Division. Was also stationed in Germany for four years, Fort Carson CO and Fort Devins MA. Born and raised in the beautiful state of Michigan and still live there. My father and my three brothers and their families are all still in the area. I am a believer that we all should do two for the country, it would only make us collectively a better nation. The UNITED STATES ARMY allowed me to see the world and to see how awesome this country we all share really is. We should never ever let that be undermined by anyone. We are a lucky people to have the opportunities this land offers. Love old Pontiacs, playing the guitar and classic rock music. Craft shows, yard sales, and flea markets and swap meets. And I like to write and that is the altered author info.

Confused Realities - Darren Stoneburgh
70 Cuda
She drove a seventy Cuda
Three eighty three magnum
With a Dana posi four speed on the floor
This little girl does not miss with her pistol grip shifts
And now the boys don’t want to race her any more
Her daddy was a bracket man
He loved that quarter mile
He never won a lot of races
But he always wore a smile
He taught his little girl to drive
How to shift high on the tach
At sixteen she’s burning rubber on that quarter mile track
It didn’t take her very long
And to everyone’s surprise
She started winning races
In that Cuda she could fly
All her dreams are coming true
With daddy by her side
Just her and her Cuda
What a fantastic ride

WE ARE LEAVING FOR A NEW LAND
OUR SHIPS ARE ABOUT TO SAIL
WE KNOW NOT WHERE WE ARE GOING
AND THERE’S A GOOD CHANCE WE WILL FAIL
ESCAPING PERSECUTION
FREE WE HOPE TO BE
BEST WE TAKE OUR CHANCES
OUT ADRIFT AT SEA
AFTER TWO WEEKS ON THE OCEAN
STILL NO LAND IN SIGHT
WE FOLLOW THE SUN IN THE DAYTIME
THEN FOLLOW THE STARS AT NIGHT
NOW IT’S TWO MONTHS ON THE OCEAN
AND OUR WATERS RUNNING OUT
THE FOOD IS GETTING SCARCE
AND THE RATS MOVE FREELY ABOUT
MORE THEN THREE MONTHS ON THE OCEAN
DEATH FOR MANY HERE HAS COME
KNEEL AND SAY A SILENT PRAYER
SOON WE’LL ALL BE DONE
NOW THE WEATHER IS UPON US
THERE’S NOT MANY LEFT ALIVE
HERE IN THIS FREEZING WATER
THE REST WILL LIKELY DIE
THEN I SAW A BIRD FLY BY
GIVING HOPE OF NEARBY LAND
JUST A FEW ALIVE TO TELL THE TALE
TO OUR FELLOW SAILING MAN
42583.pngAggression
BLINDED BY A NEED OF AGGRESSION
LOST IN YOUR OWN WORLD DEEP IN DEPRESSION
SMILE WITH THE EYES OF DESTRUCTION
BLINDED BY THE NEED OF AGGRESSION
BURNING DEEP INSIDE ARE FLAMES OF PASSION
REALITY IS CONFUSED NOW IN THIS FASHION
YOU CAN NOT SEE YOUR OWN DECIMATION
BLINDED BY THE NEED OF AGGRESSION
WE TAUGHT YOU TO BE PASSIVE
THEY THEN TAUGHT YOU TO KILL
FORCING YOU BACK AGAIN, AGAINST YOUR WILL
HOW MANY TIMES MUST YOU DIE?
BEFORE THEY START TO WONDER WHY?
THE PAIN YOU WILL FEEL IS EVERLASTING
BLINDED BY THE NEED OF AGGRESSION
YOU NEED RELIEF, SOMETHING FAST ACTING
BLINDED BY THE NEED OF AGGRESSION
TAKE THIS FOR YOUR PAIN THAT FOR YOUR DEPRESSION
BLINDED BY THE NEED OF AGGRESSION
WILL IT EVER END? NIGHTMARES BE GONE
IS THERE TIME FOR US TO MEND?
I NEED TO MOVE ON
42581.pngAll Inside
Don’t cause no disruptions
Learn to create from destruction
Hold onto your dreams and never let go
Don’t cause distractions with your overreactions
Never be the reason for blood to flow
It’s okay to stand back and learn with your eyes
You haven’t seen it all and you might be surprised
Take the time to see what it’s all about
Then there’s no reason to panic
Then there’s no reason to shout
Don’t walk in circles when you know that you’re lost
Stay true to yourself no matter the cost
Wrong is wrong and right is always right
When you’re lost in the dark you have to move toward the light
42579.pngAlone In The Shadow
ALONE IN THE SHADOWS OH WHAT A LIFE
LOST IN THE UNDERTOW SHADOWS SWALLOWING
KNEW GOOD FROM BAD RIGHT FROM WRONG
SHADOWS UPON ME NOW AND IT WON’T BE LONG
HOW DO YOU DO IT NEEDLE SO THIN
ROTTING THE VEINS YOU’RE STICKING THEM IN
YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANTED YOU GOT WHAT YOU NEED
NOW YOU’RE ALONE WITH A HABIT TO FEED
SHADOWS CREEPING UP ON YOU
WITH NO LIGHT FOR YOU TO SEE, WITH NO PLACE FOR YOU TO GO
SHADOWS NEVER LET YOU FREE THE DARKNESS NEVER LETS YOU GROW
42577.pngAlone
I WOULD LIKE TO FIND MY OWN PLACE
ON MY OWN LITTLE STAR
MY OWN LITTLE PLANET
INSIDE MY OWN LITTLE JAR
AWAY FROM ALL THE HASSLES
AND ALL OF THE HATE
FIND A WORLD OF MY OWN
THAT WOULD BE GREAT
I MIGHT NOT BE HUMAN
LIKE I’M FROM ANOTHER PLACE
GETTING LOST IN MY MIND
ZONED OUT IN SPACE
FROM ONE WORLD TO ANOTHER
EXPLORING AS I GO
NO TRACES LEFT BEHIND
NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW
ANIMATED ALIENS
COLORED NUMBERS ALL AROUND
SPINNING LIGHTS OF CARNIVALS
MUSIC WITHOUT A SOUND
I FLOAT FROM HERE TO THERE
A HOLE INSIDE MY MIND
AND ENDLESS SEARCH FOR SERENITY
SOMEDAY I HOPE TO FIND
ALONE - WHAT DO I HOPE TO FIND
ALONE - WILL THE ANSWERS BLIND
ALONE - IN AND OUT OF TOUCH
ALL ALONE – DIDN’T THINK I’D MISS SO MUCH
