Sophia is a beautiful seven-year-old girl. The story starts on the first day of summer vacation. The day is full of normal activities, like eating breakfast, playing with her dog Abby, going to gymnastics practice, and then having lunch with her mom and sister. The day takes a turn when Sophia is playing with two of her friends and they decide to travel to the community pool without their parents permission.

When an accident happens, Sophia has to display courage and quick action and save one of her friends from drowning. On her way home, she gets lost and finds herself in the woods with a family of wolves.

What happens next is a wonderful adventure. During an entire days adventure, Sophia has many decisions and actions that she bases on her lifes experiences and especially from what her mom and dad have taught her.

His Mom Joyce and Dad Frank were a big influence on him, and he has a twin brother, Frank and younger sister, Jill. He graduated Woodsville High School in NH. He has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Campbell University, NC; and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. Vinnie retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the Air Force after 21+ years as a Combat Controller in Air Force Special Operations. Vinnie works in the Personal Finance industry. He has a passion for reading, writing, and physical fitness.

    A Typical Morning

    Sophia woke up just like any other day. She didn’t need an alarm clock or her Mom to remind her it was time to get up. It was beautiful outside, the sun had just risen on this summer day. This was the first day of summer vacation and no time to waste it staying in bed. Sophia made her bed, as she does every day. She grabbed her two blankets. Her orange one was given to her after she was born. It’s made of soft fleece with tassels that line the entire edge. Sophia finds comfort in one of the innumerable tassels. Of all the tassels, she specifically finds the longest one and she rubs it between her fingers and strokes it softly with her fingers. Most times she does it subconsciously, rhythmically, as she watches
