The pandemic has seen schools and nurseries close their doors several times since March 2020 and parents working from home have been desperate to find childcare while they continue to work. And often, it’s Nan and Grandad who step in to help out, forming support bubbles with their children and grandchildren where permissible. Grandparents have never been relied upon as much as they have recently, but when Nan and Grandad are in charge, rules change and things are done differently. We delve a little deeper into the rise of granny daycare.
