CALL THE MIDWIFE

Waddling to open the front door, I opened the latch.

Standing on the steps just outside my family home were a group of my friends from college.

‘Woohoo!’ they screamed, ready for the night ahead.

They were wearing funky rave outfits and even had a bottle of booze on the go.

I was always the first one to message the girls about going out and really loved to have a reason to dress up.

I would have loved to join them.

But looking down at my stomach, I realised how different our lifestyles were.
