    About The Author

    DEDICATION

To a dear friend who understands the subject of time so much that he may not need to read this book. He taught me, nearly two decades ago, to be ahead of time by at least two years. When we initially met, I was the head of the fellowship and he was an executive member. We became closer than the rest of the leadership team and I suggested to him that we spend the entire year seeking God’s direction for our service to him that year, but he cut me short and said, ‘Brother, it’s too late now, the year has come!’ He had spent the last two years fasting, praying, and preparing for the year. He agreed we should seek God’s face, but for years to come.

He is my dear brother, friend, and best man, a gallant soldier in God’s army. He may have his own share of faults like every mortal, but when it comes to redeeming the time, Frank Angbo understands the subject so well. It’s a fascinating story that deserves a whole publication; however, this is a summary.

    APPRECIATION

I thank God for the opportunity to encounter Jesus early in my life, and for his faithfulness till date.

I have enjoyed his grace and on most occasions, undeserving as he has always ensured that my path is guided by several angels whom he sends my way.

I appreciate the grace of God upon my mentors and Pastors, especially Pastor Olufemi & Pastor (Mrs.) Gloria Olumide, whose labour of love in overseeing my life and ministry are beyond mention.

Their labours often demand them to travel of over thousands of kilometers on many occasions at huge cost, simply to follow up the little work we are doing in my location.

I particularly thank my Regional Pastor, The Special Assistant to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in the Middle East, Pastor Charles Adegoke for graciously agreeing and taking time out to write the forward to this book.

He is indeed a blessing to me and many others.

I also appreciate my Pastors, past and present who are too numerous to name, especially Pastor Wole Joshua who compelled me to write my first set of poems.

Thanks to several of my colleagues in the ministry, past and present, they are too numerous to name in this book but God knows your name and He will bless you immensely for all your kind support.

I equally appreciate the congregations of all the various Parishes that God has permitted us to Pastor, over the last two decades, especially our current parishioners at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Beautiful Gate International Parish, Fujairah – United Arab Emirates.

Thanks to Adewale Adelani for investing so much of his time and resources into turning the original manuscript into this book which is now a blessing to everyone who comes across it.

To my wife and friend, Pastor (Mrs.) Olanike Adeyemo and our four lovely sons: Olalekan, Oladimeji, Oladipupo and Olaoluwakiitan, to whom I say thank you for understanding me at all times.

    FOREWORD

The book ‘Redeeming The Time’ is a perfect companion for everyone who intends to attain their God-ordained potential here on earth. It exposes the importance of time in the plan of God for every man and woman and the need to set out early in life.

Pastor Adetokunbo Adeyemo has spelt out clearly several factors that delay can people from reaching their goals, failure to identify and address these factors early has totally denied several men and women from actualizing their potentials.

It is doubtful if any generation has ever been this distracted, the focus of this generation is mundane and at best, irrelevant whereas vital issues of lives have been totally neglected. Advance technology and particularly, social media have dragged many into an endless pit of distraction as in the days of the five foolish virgins of Matthew 25 vs. 1–13. It is often too late before many discovered that they have left the most important issues of their lives behind at the altars of distraction and procrastination.

This book is a wakeup call to all and sundry and a reminder that everyman is a created with achievable purpose under the guidance of the Lord almighty. The author has attempted to reassure the hopeless, who may be considering that they have wasted their opportunities that is never too late to start again. Moses received his opportunity to deliver the Israelites at the age of eighty, and he was a success. The important thing is to start the journey of destiny and make the best of the remaining time; success belongs to God.

Pastor Adetokunbo Adeyemo has proven to be a ready help to me on many occasion in my work in the Middle East region and I have no doubt that this book will be a blessing to countless individuals, especially the youth who, more than others have all the time ahead of them.

Thank you and may Our Lord Jesus Christ richly bless you.

    PASTOR CHARLES ADEGOKE

SPECIAL ASSISTANT to the GENERAL OVERSEER

THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD, ASIA 3
