    DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to all ministers of Christ labouring in the Master’s vineyard worldwide, and all the believers in Christ Jesus.

    INTRODUCTION

G od is not irrational in His doing and His harp hazardous in his operations. God operates on divine principles in all his dealings with men. This too is reflected in the way he chooses and calls men into ministries. We therefore need to intimate ourselves with God and his operations. This in turn shall help us discover his will and purposes of our lives.

The bible, among other things she represents, is a Book on mission and in it; we discover the way and manner God at various times, in various places and under various circumstances chose and called his vessel into ministry.

God still wants his purposes for the planet earth fulfilled; hence he still appoints men and women, young and old to fulfil such purposes. This end-time is therefore witnessing to a greater degree the call of God upon the lives of his servant.

While some of such vessels have being able to identify this divine work of grace upon their lives, several others are still roaming about in the dark, not understanding the nature of divine callings.

This book is therefore written and published with a singular purpose of helping believers understand the nature of divine calls, so as to enable them make the best use of God’s grace upon their lives. As you go through its pages, may God’s purpose for your life in relation to your place in the master’s vineyard become clear to you and may the Lord grant you the needed grace and courage to, without delay, rise and get occupied till the Master returns . . . . Amen

    CHAPTER ONE

    SACRIFICE

T here is no call which has no price tag attached to it. Full obedience to the will and leading of God always involves sacrifice. For instance, the call of Noah to build an ark of salvation must have cost him money, time, energy, ridicule, molestations and harassment. Abraham the father of faith obeyed God at the expenses of leaving his home, friends and relations for an unknown place. He had to leave the known, or to sacrifice the known for the unknown. Moses answered call of God with a price-tag as well. Apart from the pain and agony of separation from his well cherished father-in-law and other friends in Median, he was to lose his shepherd job as well. In addition to these going back to Egypt to liberate them was to risk his life (as a wanted murderer by pharaoh’s decree). Elisha obeyed God at the expense of his lucrative profession. He was a successful farmer, on his far alone-twelve yokes of oxen (equivalent of twelve tractors of our time) were at work, see 2kings 19:19-21.
