Dedication
To my two beautiful children, Britney, thirteen, and Kaiden, six.
I am so thankful for my family and humbled that I have been blessed to call them mine. I am blessed and honoured that God has entrusted them to me.
To my mother, Carmel Morton (Miss Esther) in loving memory.
From my mother, who died in 2008, I gained so much inspiration, motivation, and strength. I am eternally grateful to her for allowing me to be the person I am today.
To my husband, Dave.
This journey in my life and that of writing this book could not be possible without my humble, strong, and praying husband. I am grateful for his tactful and wonderful support.
And to my God.
I must give the biggest mention to the Almighty God, for taking me through the valley of the shadow of death. Because of him and his faithfulness, I am alive to share this experience with you, my dear readers.
Acknowledgements
I must first give thanks to the Almighty God, for he gave me the inspiration to produce this book and tell of his miraculous works in my life and in the lives of my family.
I thank my loving husband and children for coping with me when I was going through my illnesses and afflictions and also for allowing me the time to write this book. I know your hard work and dedication will not be in vain; God will reward you richly.
Thank God for blessing me with my parents. They instilled within me discipline and determination and the resilience to cope with life’s setbacks. I am grateful to my mother-in-law for standing by me in the darkest time of my life and for stepping in as a mother.
To my loving and supportive sister Charmaine Cooper (Marva) for your never ending support. Thank you for stepping in when mom died and I needed that mother figure. You are my sister who also plays the role of a mother to me. Thank you very much. The Lord will reward you and your family as it pleases him. Continue to be a blessing to others. You are very appreciated. Thank you to my sisters and brothers for your support at all times.
A special thank you to my pastor, at my local church, who also saw the call in my life to write this book. He has mentioned it to me on many occasions. Pastor Reverend George Brown, I salute you as the shepherd of your flock. Thank you for your prayers and support through those trying times. Thank you, God will reward you richly. To Pastor Wilkins, thank you for your support and prayers. It is much appreciated.
Thank you to the man of God, Prophet Dexton Davis, who was the oracle of God and spoke words of prophecy over my life on many different occasions, many of that have since come to pass. Thank you. Your support is much appreciated.
I need to mention a particular woman of God who has helped me in my spiritual growth. Sister Dauna Davis has never ceased to intercede on my behalf.
I am grateful to my church families, who have adopted me into their families, and for their continual prayers and encouragement.
God bless you all. Thank you for sticking with me and not giving up on me when the road became rough. The Lord will bless you all greatly.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
—Philippians 4:8
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
—Philippians 3:13–15
Introduction
I am writing this book because of a prophecy that was spoken over my life. I’m glad that I accepted the call and humbled myself under God’s mighty hands to write this book. It’s mission and the purpose of telling my story is to glorify God throughout this earth. Another purpose is to reach the hearts and minds of many people all over the world who, on a daily basis, face similar circumstances to those I have experienced in my life. I wrote this book while living in the United Kingdom. I will explain more details in this book. I pray that the power of God will stir up faith in your heart, whereby your eyes will be enlightened to know the power of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ on a personal level. And I pray that you will gain an individual and intimate relationship with Jesus, one in which he is the author and finisher of your faith.
To my brothers and sisters in Christ, be encouraged to know that our God is still a healer (Jehovah Rapha) and deliverer (Jehovah Mephalti), for as the scripture in 3 John 1:2 says, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth.
God desires that you prosper in spirit, soul, and body. He desires, through you, to bless your world and bring Jesus to others – that Jesus be manifested in you through salvation, healing, health, and newness of life.
No matter who you are or what stage of life you’re at, there is a message in this book for you. Finally, I pray that the words contained in this volume will open your eyes to the real and radical reality of who Christ is and to the fact that he died on the Cross to make you who you are today. Don’t ever give up because of your immediate circumstances; believe that you are changing little by little when you begin to see God as He is. See Him as the divine plan for your life.
