Tracey Lea

I am a member of a very large family that stakes their roots in the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia. My family moved to Central Ohio in 1964, where I attended school K-12. I moved away in 1981 to the granite state of New Hampshire and called it home for twenty-four years. This is where I raised my three daughters. In 2000, I moved back to Central Ohio and married for a second time, gaining three stepsons and several grandchildren in addition to my own two grandsons. In addition to writing, I spend a great deal of my time making my own greeting cards and scrapbooks, working on family genealogy, and walking the local cemeteries taking photos to help others in their journey to find their roots.

MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME

At fourteen years old, I thought I had my life under control,

But I had a longing in my heat ~~ an urging in my soul,

To serve this man called Jesus, each and every day…..

The thing I did not realize was all I had to say, was

Jesus, come into my life and make yourself at home;

Kick off your shoes, let down your hair, and let your spirit roam.

Jesus come into my life and make yourself at home;

Jesus, just make yourself at home.

On a Sunday night in January of 1974,

I understood his message,

I heard him knock at my heart’s door;

Then on the wings of angels ~

My feet never hit the floor, as I said…..

Jesus, come into my life and make yourself at home;

Kick off your shoes, let down your hair, and let your spirit roam.

Years have passed since that first night I asked my savior in

And since that time, I’ve been known to stumble now and then;

But from time to time, I get down on my knees and ask again …. I say:
