Part Two of the One-Act Play - George Grace

    The Heart of the Author

I may or may not live to complete the second and third part of this one-act play called I Have a Dream.

But it’s my heart to let all people, all ages that it’s important to me, that they have Jesus in their hearts.

You see, I’m just a nobody trying to help everyone in this walk of life, to see Jesus face-to-face and live with him in the end.

To the people with mental problems, I care about you.

To the people that are born addicted, my heart goes out of the way for you. You see, this could have been me. I am willing to take it upon myself to take them so they can get the help they need. But they have to want the help. And for them that become addicted after birth that wants help, I myself could be the one standing in all the above. Yes, I am a preacher, pastor, chaplain, a caring man, and a member of the Timpson Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.

I live with this, I go to bed with this, I sleep with this, and I get up with this. This should be every fireman’s dream.

When duty calls me, O Lord, wherever flames may rage, give me the strength to save some life, whatever be its age. Help me embrace a little child before it is too late, or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert and, O Lord, guide my every move, for life is so precious. Please don’t let us lose.

I want to fill my calling and to give the bet in me to guard my every neighbour and protect their property and, if according to thy will that I must give my life, then with thy protecting hand, my Lord, I pray thee protect my children and my wife.

This is every true fireman’s prayer. I have a dream today.

The more I read over this one-act play, the more it becomes personal to me. I can hear a little still voice saying, I will, I will, I will. Yes, I will heal cancer. Yes, I will heal stroke. Yes, I will heal diabetes. Yes, I will heal respiratory problems. Yes, I will heal mental illnesses. Yes, I will heal AIDS and all other sickness. Yes, I will (2 Chron. 7:14). I have been touched by this one-act play.

Narrator. Touch, me Lord Jesus, with thy hand of mercy. Make each throbbing heartbeat feel thy power divine. Take my will forever. I will doubt thee never. Cleanse me, dear Saviour, and make wholly thine. Mold me, dear Master, as I bow before thee,
