Dedicated to all the grieving hearts who have lost loved ones, especially to my children, Nathan, Krista, Matthew, and Andrew, who lost their dad way too soon. To family and friends who never stop praying for me.

This is my story of my husband leaving the earth and entering heaven.

In August of 2020, my husband, Larry, became sick. We later found out it was COVID-19, which most of our family got and then recovered. But two weeks later, Larry ended up in the hospital, isolated from all of us, left to die… alone.

Even knowing what I know about who God is and what He has done for us on the cross, I was still having a hard time reaching Him during this grieving process.

Five weeks in, Jesus came to me in an awesome vision and gave me hope that I had misplaced since Larry had died, and I was so thankful for this. But still, my heart hurt, and I missed him so much.

I continued to do my devotions every day but did not have the confirmation of deep communication with the Father that I so longed for. Then, in November of 2021, I started a dialogue with God.

Two weeks later, a friend of mine gave me this book, Joyful Journey: Listening to Immanuel, as a gift, and it explained this new vein of communication I had found and opened up a journey I have been enjoying ever since.

This booklet/devotion is a compilation of the things I have heard as I sit quietly before the LORD and allow Him to continuously heal my heart through His presence. I pray these words to bless and touch you in a way that only He can. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you.

Me: Thank You, God, for this day.

LORD: Let me speak to you today.

Me: Please, LORD, do!

LORD: Lift up your eyes and see what I have done for you.

Me: LORD, show me!

LORD: See the results of the wind as it blows this way and that way, see how it moves the clouds in the blue sky, see the color of fall on the trees, see how those birds fly effortlessly. You know all of this I made for you to enjoy, for you to find peace in, for you to believe Me!

Me: LORD, I thank You for all these things, but my desire most is to be in Your presence and knowing I Am with that tangible knowledge.

LORD: Then look deeper, look beyond what you see. Open your spirit and look with the Holy Spirit into the things I have already put in front of you.

Me: Okay, okay, I see the squirrels climbing, moving, climbing higher; help me, LORD, to move this flesh and reach higher, go deeper in You. The birds fly, LORD, I want to soar in You! The trees are letting go of the old to make way for the new. Help me do this!

LORD: And in all this, the sun is shining, still rising and setting every day just like my Son is still shining on you, in you every day while you do the things you were meant to do. Go ahead, write it, Girl, I got you. ox’s

Thank You, God, for this day. Thank You, God, that I can put pen to the page, and You use it to write revelation to me, through me:

"I give you all that is before you,

I take away all that you will allow Me to.

I Am the giver of life,

I give you sustaining breath every second of your life,

Though you have walked through the valley of the shadow of death,

I have been with you.

I never left you."

Thank You, God, for this day. See me farther along. You do see me this way. Give me sight to see.

"Give the light you have to give.

Shine in the places you are sent to.

Bring life that is inside of you to those dying around you.

Live to the fullest. I have sat before you.

You and Me together are a force to

I started reading the book today that explained what I had been doing as I communed with God. It gave me confirmation that I can hear Him.

Thank You, God, for this day. I hold my pen as a skilled writer, but it is not me who writes. Without the Holy Spirit, I have nothing to say that would credit to life in any way. I only want to write what You (God) cause to come to my mind!

Keep your eyes focused and your senses keen. You can not go wrong when you trust in Me.

LORD, there is a place we all want to get to, whether we know it or not. Sometimes, we feel like we are right there and just beyond the veil, the invisible realm. We could touch it, see it, feel it, and then…

No, but we must press in because I believe this is what You (God) want for us: to be in the moment, to see into the Spirit; all things You are doing in and around us. God, let me see!

Thank You, God, for this day and for healing for my family and body.

"These are the ways I have given you to stand, open your mouth, speak the truth, stand on My word, resist the enemy, and watch him flee. I Am all you need in all that comes; look to Me, hear Me, see Me, be in the moment with Me. You are mine, and I Am yours. We are going to defeat all and everything that would raise its head against you, your family (my family). I Am your protector, your defender, your justice".
