Author

Angel C. Knox

Angel Knox has spent the past several years on a journey of faith, growth, and finding out what life is truly all about. Although wanting to write this story right after Hurricane Katrina happened, she realized there were more pieces to the puzzle; ten years later, this work is as it should be—complete. She believes that everyone has a special story, and by sharing and connecting with others, we can begin to heal and find peace and joy in our lives. Somewhat of a “spiritual” nomad, Angel hails from Folsom, California, but has spent her adult years in New Orleans, Louisiana; Charlotte, North Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; and now in Sacramento, California. She is recently married, and she and her husband plan to continue writing and growing their family.

They will flourish in the courts of our God.

For everyone on a spiritual journey

    desiring to see God’s face.

    Be planted and be blessed.

This book is dedicated to my family, friends, and loved ones who helped shape my journey. There are too many to name, but they all know who they are. Know that you are loved.

    Dear Reader,

Since I was young, I have written spiritual journals that contain my thoughts, Scriptures, meditations, and prayers.

For whatever reason, whenever I start a new journal, I begin writing on the last page and finish in the front.

I wanted this book to be no different. To understand my journey, you must start at the last page.

    Happy reading!

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it.

    —Isaiah 30:21

He is still leading my path and my husband’s path. I look back at everything—college, Katrina, Seattle, Charlotte, South Carolina, my wedding, Fort Leonard Wood—and I know I am blessed. I have met amazing people and strengthened bonds with old friends.

Life is so fleeting, but it can be purposeful and fun! There is something more than all the worry, stress, fear, doubt, and insecurities that surround us in life. That is God’s love.

I am a living witness of His love, grace, and power. He has ordered my steps, and as crazy as the path was, I chose to say yes and follow Him. My heart rejoices at the blessings that come from His love for me.

My prayer is that something I have written inspires you to follow that tingle in your heart. If you think there is something you should be doing, somewhere you should be going, pray and do it. Your path was written, just like mine was. And it can be just as fulfilling and surprising if you let it.

We are all used to being in control, but this time, just say yes. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what others think; your path is your own, and no one can walk it
