    PREFACE

    30006.png

T he value of a man does not depend on the number of his age. The author of this book, who evolves in the things of God, can be discovered over time through his various books placed on the market during the past three years. On his journey including time as intercessor before answering the call to the Ministry of teacher of the word of God, he held the position of Pastor in a modest and powerful Church in Great Britain

The theme being addressed here is: ‘The seven keys for a successful prayer add a contribution in the life of the Church can be used as an effective instrument and help in the transformation of lives of many. The author strives to present to readers who have chosen to rest their confidence in God the Creator, the principles which might facilitate favourable reaction to their demands.

Indeed, many are asking questions about their spiritual and material life, stagnation, mediocrity, sufferings, tribulations, and persecutions of all types at the extent they conclude that God does not exist, or is not able to answer their prayers.

We take this opportunity to note prayers that are not enough if they are not based on the principles of God that the author calls keys.

Pastor Jean used the right basis to build his contribution by taking into account the life of Patriarchs and other men of God mentioned in the Bible as all experience encountered in his Christian life.

In nutshell, the servant of God gives us insight into these divine principles which underlie the true relationship with our Father. It is believed that athlete cannot be crowned unless he fights according to the rules. Also, the Christian can receive the answer to his prayer only if it is conform to principles of God.

Knowledge of these principles and their practical implementation are major advantages that guarantee the relationship with God and the fulfillment of our prayers

I strongly recommend the readers to take time and browse these pages which comprise the bulk of this book.

    Evangelist David Smith

    INTRODUCTION

    30010.png

Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules (2 Timothy 2:3-5).

A s I was feeling more and more of a desire to write, God inspired me to explore this essential topic that is prayer. Indeed, looking onto everyday situation in which we live, we can realize that it always contains a strand of information which can be carefully examined and acted, in one way or another, and which surely may lead to the appropriate solution, and—contribute to solving the problems in our lives.

Our pastoral ministry stores up a lot of unresolved situations that forcibly implicate our quality as Minister of God. One example is that our believers are facing difficult cases that persist in their lives, and thus drive them to despair. We are unwittingly made victims, and we are accused of being unable to resolve them. Some are managing even to retire from the churches searching a powerful man who could help them get comfort and consolation.

What message do we draw from our church members when things go wrong? We have witnessed many heated conversations between embittered and disappointed believers with strong reactions against the churches and their leaders, who consider that real miracles no longer exist, and that in our days men of God are powerless in healings and miracles realm.

That is the case of a brother of an unidentified church who was talking to others about the difficulties he was facing. He said in essence that he was discouraged that since he is praying, he was not convinced that God was present in their church. Suddenly one of fellow members replied:

I think you are right; our pastor is not anointed and therefore doesn’t have the Holy Spirit.

Another came to me one day and said:

Pastor, now two days that the Lord continues to speak to me on our Church. He told me that He is prepared to bless us, but the containers in which He can pour His blessings are not pure.

Notwithstanding the two cases mentioned above, without evading the others that went straight to my heart as for a kind of inquiry; thus I understood that there is a need to prepare a teaching, in response to the concerns of the members of our church. Then, the Holy Spirit inspired me to go beyond a simple teaching as it is found a little limiting to only my church; and a question arose as to how we could reach those who are not members of our Church, but who are experiencing the same problems?

I came to the decision of writing this book while I continued to teach those who were at my: fingertips. The passages of James 4:3-had most motivated our concern

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. He said he who believes in me will do even things bigger than I did.

As we can read it from this statement, the appeal is not spoken to pastors only, but to the believers, pastors included.

Before the brother came to talk to me about his message, I was in prayer for the Sunday sermon; the Lord inspired me to preach about the fear of God, especially the book of Deuteronomy Chapter 4, and tenth verse 10 which Moses recalls the message of the Lord:

Remember the day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, when he said to me, "Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn to revere me as long as they live in the land and may teach them to their children.

From the fear of God to prayer, there is only one step. Writing to the Philippians, Apostle Paul exhorts them:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:4-6).

This exhortation was the response to the concern of the people of Israel in the book of Jeremiah 15, its verse 18, when they wondered:

Why is my pain unending and my wound grievous and incurable? You are to me like a deceptive brook, like a spring that fails. Therefore this is what the LORD says: "If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.

The response of the Lord which we find in Chapter 30 of the same book in verse 12 had not delayed:

Your wound is incurable; your injury beyond healing. There is no one to plead your cause, no remedy for your sore, no healing for you. All your allies have forgotten you; they care nothing for you. I have struck you as an enemy would and punished you as would the cruel, because your guilt is so great and your sins so many(Jeremiah 30:12-14).

Rupture of communion with God is the main cause of unhappiness. In response, the Lord is inviting us to return to Him:

This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it—the LORD is his name: ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know (Jeremiah 33: 2-3).

Our God is always of good will and is prepared to respond to anyone who asks; invokes Him, but only when he requests according to divine principles. When Christ said: pray without ceasing; this is a divine recommendation and exhortation. This means that prayer begins, and does not stop a moment because you are tired—or have got what you asked for.

Prayer is the breath of life for all God’s children; it makes it possible to thwart the attacks of the devil. In Job experience, it is taught that difficulties he went through were not because he had sinned; nevertheless he did resort to prayer to understand what was happening around him.

The Lord answered him restoring him in his initial state of wealth.

In human life, when a child is born, it is expected that one day he begins to walk using hands and knees, and finally he will be standing. If he begins to walk on two feet; after the walk, the next step will be speaking. This child will begin to communicate his needs by audible and intelligible language.
