About this ebook

The poems are a compilation of thirty years of writing poetry with what I feel is a unique style, which I have tried to perfect over the years. The words are not complex, as I feel poetry should be pure and simple. So everyone can enjoy reading and understanding what is written. There are opinions and views on the changing world as well as the changing of human nature over the years. There are some that will make you think and some that will help you appreciate the little gifts in life.

    MORTAL GOD

    Mortal man fragile soul,

How can you play such a powerful role?

    Fragile soul mortal man,

The Immortal and omnipotent now take their stand,

Pouring fear and hate into your minds,

But if you could see what would you find,

Mortal man who kneels to pray,

Seeking wisdom from the words we never say,

    Insignificant soul puny man,

For years beyond counting, we have guided you by the hand,

    Lonely man sad soul,

Always searching and giving birth to new ways to take control,

You forced the torch from one hand to the next,

Left your old beliefs in the dust,

    Powerful man Immortal soul,

Do not cast another faith into the void,

    Merciful man unforgiving soul,

Please spare this god you hold.

    SUMMER FADES

    Rolling across the blue,

    Dancing above the wind,

    Faint as snow falling,

    Black as night,

    Whispers of change echo,

    Through every leaf,

    Every blade dulls,

    As the season dies,

    Color explodes,

    Across the horizon,

    For the oncoming gloom,

    A relentless chill settles
