      The Blessings of this Earth

      Through the mists of time we see it,

      When our blood waters that field we feel it,

      When the bugle plays taps, we mourn it.

      Liberty and freedom,

      Bought by the sacrifice of others.

      With each life we lose for God and Country

      We learn to love our fellow man.

      Each day that passes

      Brings pain, injustice, and sorrow.

      Yet at the end of each day

      A beacon of hope shines down on us.

      Freedom Peace Liberty

      And God

      The Blessings of this Earth

      Are there for us to reap,

      We just need the courage

      To fight for what we want.

      Pet or Pet Peeve

      Theres this cat that I know;

      Hes a pain in the ass

      His incessant meowing;

      is designed to harass.

      He dreams about nothing;

      But food, drink and love

      He demands your
