About this ebook

Because of my love of classical music, I always try to impart rhythm and
song to my poems. These poems were written between 1965 and the
present, either in English, or translated from Czech.
They are presented in the following five sections:
Love: Without this we could not exist. It gives life luster, happiness and in
reality all that is good in life.
Nature: Who has not been thrilled observing woods in all seasons. Their
sleepy silence in winter, their waiting for spring, their force of life when
spring finally comes. In autumn, their explosion of color. Who has not been
awed by the diversity of animals inhabiting all niches in every environment.
I for one would find life lacking without them.
Science: My long involvement with research, its thrilling results as well as
heartbreaks, made my life rich and gave me a feeling of satisfaction.
Miscellaneous: Poems about special places, special people, and special
events.
Family: Containing poems to my children and grandchildren. As a father
and a grandfather, I am expressing my love for them, my joy in being with
them, and my grief when they suffer.
