    Earth 2853 - Jordann Diaz

    Crushing Leaves

Morrow of fright, it’s warm of autumn’s

    delight

with spice in the tea and the wind on a

    spree.

Like sea at a glance, steps a ritual

    dance

to be crushing leaves, the crunch my ear

    receives.

It’s the setting sun and I’ll wake to more

    fun

and my dreams so deep, under trees I’m

    asleep.

    Twilight

    How sweet the moon empowers me;

bitterness of the sun in my veins.

To feel that hour when I’m free

like water and air when it rains

and the meeting of ice and flames.

Past the clock, my silhouette remains

from hills to valleys, I’m undone.

    In My Bed

Here in my bed, I listened to the rain

like the sky shrouded the earth with its tears

and night took the lead when the sun was slain

the steady rhythm chased away my fears

it was truly like music to my ears!

Lost in the beat, darkness covered my eyes

deep in my heart, I understood the cries

were there other sounds, I don’t remember

the only care for our last goodbyes

as me and the world were put to slumber.

    Unearned Bonds

    Our history doesn’t
