Love, Laughter and Tears - Chris Layfield
A Broken Bond
To hold one close,
Close to your heart.
Wish dreams could last,
Not fade apart.
With futures so bright,
and flowing rivers of love.
The joy of two,
Overflows like floods.
The bond between,
Unspoken love.
Fits together,
Like hand and glove.
Before one speaks
The other has spoken.
If ones in pain,
The other is heart broken.
One and one,
Which now makes two.
With faith and love,
They will get through.
Until that day,
When rivers run dry.
The pain will hollow you out,
Deep from inside.
With a broken heart,
And tears of snow.
That’s all that’s left,
When one must go.
A Heart That Bleeds
Have you ever loved,
Loved so deep?
That when your alone,
It makes you weep.
You only feel half,
Never complete.
You toss and turn,
You get no sleep.
You beg and pray,
You hit your knees.
You search and search,
With hopes to see.
You count the time,
As it passes by.
The pain cuts deep,
The tears arise.
It floods the gates,
It drowns your soul.
You lose your sight,
Then control.
The end in sight,
One day oh please.
I’m losing faith,
Come rescue me.
I see the light,
It watches me.
It’s not of glory,
How could this be.
I’ve had enough,
So set me free.
I’ve done my work,
I’ve done my deeds.
I’ve lost my love,
Then lost me.
I’ve lost my crown,
I’ve lost my queen.
I’ve lost everything,
That’s dear to me.
I drop my head,
Show no pity.
This is my life,
My destiny.
I’ve lost the war,
Come look for me.
The truth is here,
You best believe.
I’ve lost my life,
Yet my heart still bleeds.
Alone
When all alone,
Thoughts turn to you.
I see you clearly,
This can’t be true.
Your braided hair,
And soft brown eyes.
That smiling face,
That lights the sky.
Your kind spoken words,
Them dimple cheeks.
Look to the sky,
That’s where I’ll be.
I hear your words,
Like your next to me.
These thoughts not true,
That’s what troubles me.
I dream of nights,
I could hold you tight.
The queen of my heart,
The love of my life.
Did paths get crossed,
With the timing not right.
Or am I blinded,
By the vision in sight.
This can’t be real,
I still have rights.
To know the truth,
Why I’m alone tonight.
Angel That Bleeds
My dreams have been shattered,
My queen has left her throne.
Misery sets in,
When I wake all alone.
Visions from the past,
Replay in front of my eyes.
God my life was great,
Now how will I survive.
I’ve lost my soulmate,
Lost everything I own.
My heart continues to bleed,
From the one who touched my soul.
A demon in disguise,
Is all that you see.
But that’s far from the truth,
I’m an angel that bleeds.
Angels That Sung
When I lost my life,
She gained her freedom.
When the heart gets broken,
It don’t break even.
keep hope through the days,
And I pray every night.
I’m sick of doing wrong,
Just want to do right.
This sadness in my heart,
Can’t mend the other half.
I need you back now,
To fill this empty glass.
Can’t sleep at nights,
With thoughts of you on my mind.
Wondering what you been up to,
Is everything fine.
Haven’t seen you in ages,
It’s been hard to pass the time.
I miss you like crazy,
And yes I still cry.
These tears are not of hatred,
But of the emptiness inside.
I try to be strong,
But it’s hard with no pride.
There has to be a reason,
Or am I out of my mind.
That things never go right,
But I’m sure things will be fine.
With all of this said,
I hope you have found the one.
For now I have to leave,
Since the
