    Foreword

OVER THE YEARS I’ve come to know Benjamin Mensah for his zeal and unrelented love for God and a passionate seeker of His truth. I have been captivated by his teachings; unreserved praise/ worship life-style spiced with an insightful inquest of pleasing His maker purposefully.

Benjamin’s quest to get the uncompromising will of God done as it is in heaven and His divine endorsement in our daily walk with Him is the loom upon which the very fabric of this book, BELIEVER’S COMPANION has been woven. It also amazes me the way Benjamin is able to squeeze out of his crucial experience during his study in the USA. This is indeed a lemon turned into lemonade!

In this masterpiece, you will find seven life transforming subject stretching from PURPOSE to BEING IDENTIFIED well carved out of life’s university.

Remember!! It’s not what happens to you in life that matters, but what you do with what happens to you. The question is: what have you done with all that has been happening to you in life?

This is exactly what Benjamin Mensah, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, has passionately painted in the chapters of this book as apples of gold in pictures of silver. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver (Proverbs 25:11)

Having read through this book, I am more convinced that absolutely nothing can prevent us from achieving our greatest goals in life when we seize the ultimate opportunity of SEEKING & PLEASING God in our life time.

Let me offer three examples from the book:

In Chapter Two of this wonderful masterpiece, Benjamin makes a head-on collision with the believers’ difficulty in letting go and letting God. This is an area of struggle in many believers’ lives. Why is this so? Our personal WILLS are always in conflict with the WILL of our maker, but it is only on the needful note of surrender and letting God have the right of way that we can become what He wants us to be. Remember that in our bid to save our lives our own way we lose it and vice-versa. (Matthew 16:25 for whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.)

Chapters four and five also spell out the beautiful rendition of God’s mysterious nature and His strange works in the life of the believer. Praise in pain, is the greatest faith move requirement of God to help us never to hang our harps but to sing the Lord’s song even in a strange land (Psalm 137). Loving others is a pivotal command of God to man. God, by His manifold wisdom, even expects us to love and feed our enemies and by so doing receive his love in return.

Suffice it to say that I heartily endorse this masterpiece, "Believer’s Companion". PAS CHARIS!

    Acknowledgement

FIRST OF ALL, I give acknowledgement, all praise, glory, honor and exceptional thanksgiving to the one true Living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Holy one of Israel for His abundant grace (Pas Charis) upon my life and inspiring me to be among the voices to His chosen generation. Without Him this wouldn’t have become a reality.

I also express my heartfelt thanks to Rev. & Mrs. Edwin Paddy Acquah (Kingdom Harvesters Ministry, Takoradi, Ghana, West Africa), Pastor & Mrs. Steve Leitz (Judah Christian Fellowship, Morehead, KY, USA), and all who have contributed to my life in one way or the other, being it good or bad, consciously or unconsciously, for it has all helped me to reach this height.

I dearly dedicate this book to my beloved wife, Adeline and my lovely Daughters, Benita & Aleena. Adeline has been a loving and wonderful partner to me since 2005, She has always and forever been the one in my life who has stood with me, praying and interceding for me that the Lord would give me a heart after Him like David, and a will to commit to Him like Daniel. The Lord has really used her to bless my life in an immense way.

    Introduction

THE BELIEVER’S COMPANION is a seven chapter book made simple enough for the reader’s comprehension. It is a weekly revolving reading that will continuously set the reader’s mind watchful on how to live a pleasing, purposeful and successful Christian life. Each chapter is made short enough for a day’s reading and all references easily noted.

I was enthused to compile this message to aid the church come to a realization that we have a call to duty, and thus there is more to life than just living it. We need to make our creator proud of His idea of creation.

I recommend you spend at least ten minutes each day of the week to read and reflect on a chapter. Answer the personal application questions and be sure that you are on the right track and that God is pleased with you. Each chapter ends with a personal application question,
