About this ebook

I was born in Frenchville, Maine. A small suburb of Northern Aroostook
County, Maine. I am of French decent. I was born September Eleven, Nineteen
Thirty-Nine. My Father was a Farmer and my Mother was a Housewife.
I have one Sister and three Brothers. We settled in Presque Isle, Maine, where
I graduated in Nineteen Fifty-Eight and married the same year. I have Five
Children. Wendy, John, Douglas, Lisa and Carrie. I am proud of my children
and my eight Grand-Children. I have one beautiful Great-Grandson.
I retired from The Travelers Insurance, in Nineteen Eighty-Eight. We moved
to Florida, 13 years ago. I always liked writing and putting down my thoughts
on paper. I wrote a Poem to my Aunt, whom I love dearly. I wrote her a Poem,
telling her how much she meant to me, I named the Poem Touched.
After reading the Poem and seeing how it had touched her, that gave me the
courage to write more. After that day I continued writing. My Poems are all
personal, I get great satisfaction out of writing Poems for family and friends. My
favorite one is Katrina. This Poem was written in tribute to the people that
lost their lives and to the ones that suffered so from that great tragedy.
My hobbies are writing Poems, Cross Stitching, and doing Sudoku Puzzles.
I enjoy going out to dinner with my husband of Thirty One years.

    Autobiography

    Dedication

I would like to dedicate my book of poems to my five children, that I love so dearly. Wendy, John, Douglas, Lisa and Carrie. Their support and love has given me the courage to do something that I enjoy doing and Aunt Sophia, that inspired and encouraged me to share with others, what I have always felt I could do, but didn’t believe that I could. To my husband who believed in me and gave me his lending ear when I needed one.

Thank you all for your love and support, that gave me the ambition I needed to pursue.

My Dear Aunt Sophia the time is here

I must go back to my hubby so dear

Three months and just seven day’s more

I’ll fly back to my home that’s sure

We’ve done so much in this short time

And all was well worth it I find

A journal was what I should have done

For all to see what I’ve done one by one

I have accomplished what I wanted to do

Of course I’ve done so much more with you

Shopping Lunches playing Gin Rummy was fun

I’ll go back reminiscing over what we’ve done

I won’t be here I’ll think of all the fun

Doing it all . . . almost all one by one

For it’s been fun as I’ll miss you so

As I sit by my pool I’ll reminisce, you know

    J.M.S.

    Thanks

Thank you for all that you have done

We have all had so much fun

It’s always been such a pleasure for me

To come to Connecticut get together you see

A sister you do feel like to me

Always enjoy your having me over for tea

So when you come to visit Florida again

Don’t forget to stop and tell us when

Your kind good hearted always been

Doing for others always been your thing

Your baking and cooking so good at it too

A very good hostess for that is you

    J.M.S.

    Memories

I’ve enjoyed our visits it’s been fun

Time has come for me to get up and run

Have to go back to my Florida home

For my hubby is tired of being alone

The laughs we’ve all had I won’t forget

As laughing is good for us you bet

We carved Pumpkins with so much zest

Best of all watching ones face was the best

I’ll leave and take many memories with me
