PREFACE
M y vision is that this short book provides unique resources and suggestions that will spark new ideas and inspire actions helpful to people with cancer or other serious illness. Everyone’s journey through diagnosis and treatment of a disease is unique and affects him or her in a different place: physically, spiritually, emotionally, or intellectually. The contents herein represent the most important concepts and tools I wish I had found earlier in my own cancer journey.
In the months after my diagnosis, I searched in vain for a book like this one that would focus on the things I could do to become more healthy, happy, and hopeful, while the medical professionals took care of the things they specialized in (pharmaceuticals, surgeries, medical research, and radiation).
Eventually I did collect quite a few helpful references and found that many good books
