About this ebook

We are all influenced by our environment and by everything in it. It is easy for some plants to prosper and bear much fruit under certain environmental conditions, but other plants need different climatic conditions. This truth is also valid in relation to human beings. The environment you live in has a bearing on your altitude and your performance. Achievement or success in any area is a function of many factors, including your environment and prevailing circumstances. Therefore, prevailing conditions can either inhibit or enhance your performance and, subsequently, your success.

However, factors such as knowledge, wisdom, skill, and attitude can override the outcome of a negative environment or circumstances. For example, gravity is a fact of life, but birds overcome gravity all the time by flapping their wings. Therefore they are able to fly for sustained periods without falling to the ground. In the same way, the application of the right combination of knowledge, skill, and determination can transform any circumstance. This book deals with six timeless mathematical principles, with strong biblical foundations to help anyone or any group transform its present state into a more desirable one.

    Foreword

Do you ever wish that life would just stand still? It always seems to be changing. One minute you are sailing along with a warm summer breeze, enjoying the scenery, and in a flash, a wave hits you out of nowhere and you are sent spinning out of control. It is during these times that one of two things will happen to you. You will just give up, sit down and quit, or you will grab hold of the rope of transformation and conquer the waves of fear, frustration and failure. My friend, failure is not an option. So, how do you do this? How do you make sense of the thing you are faced with? God is your first source, prayer is the second source and Ebenezer Acheampong Addo’s book, PRINCIPLES OF TRANSFORMATION is your third source. I can assure you, when you put these three sources to work, you will be able to take control of your life and move forward.

As I sat down to read this book PRINCIPLES OF TRANSFORMATION, I immediately found myself completely engulfed in its pages. This surprised me simply because I was sure I knew what transformation was, but to my surprise I found myself in many aspects of emotions. Some areas of the book made me really feel the Wow! factor as Ebenezer took me to places I had not looked at before; like the transformation of the caterpillar. Then there were times I had to laugh out loud because it was hitting right to the point of my reality – it was so me. A few times I had to stop to process what I had just read because it brought such clarity and I couldn’t just read on without stopping to ponder it and let it sink deep into the emotions I was feeling. It made me look at my life and where I have come from and where I am headed, without any condemnation. Wow, no condemnation. I am normal. I am sane. I didn’t do anything bad or wrong to deserve this lot in life – so hang on, it’s going to change and I’m going to be better for the change.

Transformation is something we will continually go through till the day we die, and I am sure you can agree, it can really be scary, due to the fact that transformation always represents change. I was a Youth Pastor for 11 years and have been a Pastor for the last 17 years, of a wonderful church. In those years, I would have to say most of the things I have dealt with concern some sort of transformation in some part of a person’s life cycle, so I related so well to this book. With that said, I would highly recommend both young and old to read it – and not just once, but every time you feel your life is evolving into a seemingly, churning out-of- control wave of life. Why? This will allow you to put yourself and your present situation into each scripture, life experience, and illustration. In doing this, it will enable you to see there is a wonderful, expected end; just like Jesus as His life went through the transformation of the cross – He did it for the joy that was set before him, and if you hang on, there is a great joy that is set before you.

What stood out the most to me as I read through each example and illustration was, I could see a picture that showed how transformation can make us feel insecure, because the unknown can leave us feeling so helpless at times. But through each chapter I could feel it tugging at me that everything was going to be okay, and more importantly, I was going to be okay and I was going to be better for this transformation. By the end of the book, with all the ouches and feelings of frustration, I began to realize that transformation is totally, one hundred percent essential for my well-being and growth. I ended the book feeling invigorated and anxiously awaiting the new challenge and the outcome of the transformation that my life is in right now. So when I closed the book, I found myself still reading my life’s story and I have not been able to put it aside since. I have used it in talking to my 8 year old granddaughter and in giving advice to those in their 20’s, 40’s and even my mom who is 81 years old. And yes, in case you’re wondering, she is still transforming, still living a wonderful life, helping others all around her.

You are going to thoroughly enjoy reading this book and getting acquainted with this wonderful author. His writing will leave a lasting impact on your life as he so eloquently walks you through the processes of the principles of transformation through the word of God, his own life challenges, and tremendous illustrations. I have had the wonderful privilege of watching this young man transform. It has not been an easy road for him and his family and this is what challenged him to write this book, to help you to know you are not alone – he’s been there and made it and is soaring because of it. He is continuing to succeed in all aspects of his life because he learned to accept the transformation process of life and rest in the arms of our heavenly Father. He knows you can make it too and wants to be there to help you through the process so you too, will achieve your highest goals and use all the talents God has given you. And just like the caterpillar, you may not understand it all at the time, but in the end you are going to fly……

Even though I have known Minister Ebenezer Acheampong Addo for the past 9 years or so, I had not been exposed to his unique, simple and straightforward writing style until very recently I had to read his book titled ‘The Principles of Transformation’. Right from the very first page, the information in this book began to make an impact on me. The subject of Transformation in my opinion, has often been made rather complex by those whom I have heard teaching on it. Many times in trying to explain
