Author

Nhlanhla J Molatana

Nhlanhla Johannes Molatana is a man of God who was lost in the wilderness in the thirty-five years since his birth, before God found him. Growing up for thirty-three years of his life without a father, he truly thought that he had no father. Not until God decided it was time to shake and rip apart every earthly foundation and locate him, bringing him back home. Knowing that he has found his father, God, he finally called himself Nhlanhla God (sometimes Nhlanhla Jehovah or Nhlanhla Christ). In his words he said, “Now that I am the true son of God, I am His and therefore I am called by His name.” In his calling back into the kingdom, Nhlanhla has been tasked with different ministries, teaching, preaching, prophecy, and praying for people in healing and deliverance; writing of God’s revelations in books and prayers; composing and singing songs that are inspired by the Holy Ghost. This is the first of many books that he is going to publish to show you that God truly lives in us and is doing all He can to find us and bring us back home.

Shake the Earthly Foundations and Rip Them Out - Nhlanhla J Molatana

    CHAPTER 1

    Introduction

    Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

I CAN REMEMBER the day God decided that it was time for me to start the ministry. It all started with a series of dreams that at first did not make sense to me, since I was new to this kind of life in God. These dreams quickly became clear to me, since at that time of my life, I was already praying for people. I knew God was saying something, and it was about me doing what He was telling me to do.

Now that I knew the dreams were there to be implemented in the physical realm, the question in my mind was, how do I go about starting a church if I’ve never been groomed in the church before? And also how do I begin to start a church without being guided by someone who will ensure that I do start the church? The other question that was crucial for me, which I did address with God, was, how do I start a church when there are already many churches here in South Africa? But as God will have it, it became an easy task – as He took me through what I needed to do in order for me to have a church started.

Before I could start the church, the Holy Ghost already revealed prayers in me that I was sending to people to pray almost every week. This became the base for me when I started the church to have the sermons distributed. I remember my first sermon, which I gave in Katlehong, which was 530 kilometres from Musina, where I was working.

Yes, I worked in Musina, and my family was in Johannesburg. The vision that came to me, of where I needed to start the church, was quite clear. This may be confusing for you, but to explain it better, I had many visions of me preaching and the people I was preaching to; I could see the faces of the people were from Johannesburg.

I can remember another vision that came to me while taking a shower in the flat in Musina, where I was staying with my wife. In this vision, I saw the church, which was not far from where I grew up. With that vision, it was quite clear what God had destined me to do.

The story of a church tells a tale of what followed next and that being the beginning of a series of books to be written to communicate God’s message with the world. We all know that as children of God, the message we carry is not ours but His; it has to be delivered to His children in order for them to know what He thinks, speaks, and instructs them to do.

The first week, I shared a great sermon with a group of guys who were interested in the church and the message that I was delivering to the children of God. That message was beautiful, and it was kindly received by those I shared it with; I had lots of positive responses from them.

After that first message was delivered and drew such positive comments, the beginning of a new dawn of the church was finally realised. The sending of these messages became the flavour of the week. The guys started talking about these sermons online, as if they were food that was making their week better. In addition to the sermons, I included other prayers, and the guys started praying those prayers, and I had positive feedback from them as well. Please note that the prayers were and are still coming from the Holy Ghost; they were not my prayers.

"You should do something about these sermons, especially for the people who are not in your distribution list and those that cannot access emails."

The guys would comment on the impact the sermons were having in their lives and how they were changing other people they were sharing those messages with.

One day, someone approached me and said, Pastor, man of God, people must read these messages that you give on Sundays through your writings, so that they can begin to see God’s wisdom at work.

Another man came to me and said, You should do something about these sermons, especially for the people who are not in your distribution list and those that cannot access emails.

With all this in mind, I began thinking about publishing these sermons so that a wider audience could be reached and more people could start feeling the impact that God has in their lives. This book is the first volume of these sermons; other volumes will be published each year.

    Why These Sermons

THIS INTRODUCTORY CHAPTER seeks to explain the sermons that I have given as the beginning of God moving in people’s lives. It is the beginning, since in the beginning of the church and these sermons, there was no one to guide me on how things are done, except God Himself. This might sound strange to you; how can it be that I have begun this journey without any guidance?

There was no one except God when I began, and that made me happy, since from the beginning, He influenced me on what I preached and discussed with people. I knew that I had an opportunity when I got my calling to attend a course in theology, but that was never on my list (and it will never be on my list). My calling is from heaven, and therefore, I will let heaven drive the agenda and the message that they have entrusted me with, without diluting it with the influences of this earth.

I may sound like someone who is too much of himself, but the truth is, if you truly think about it, God has sent us to deliver His message, not our version of how things should be done, in order to be better leaders or better pastors or to attract many followers into our churches. That is not the key; the key is God.

When God created heaven and earth in the beginning, there was no one to guide Him on what He was supposed to do. He ordered things according to His plan and purpose. This is the same message that He is giving me this day: that we need Him to do something. We are continuously in the creation mode and the beginning of everything through Christ.

Through these sermons and His continuous guidance and presence, many earthly foundations have been shaken and ripped out, and yours too will follow suit.

    CHAPTER 2

    Prayer of a Crying Woman

    Nhlanhla’s Quote:

"My tears have turned the face of God and

inclined His ears to hear my cry."

    1 Samuel 1:9–22

So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head. And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth. Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD. And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the LORD the yearly sacrifice, and his vow. But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide for ever.

THERE IS ONE thing that Hannah did well during her prayer, and that was to tune her spirit and her heart to the right frequency that God can quickly respond to. Her heart was sad and depressed, which is no different than someone who tells you that they cannot eat because their heart is in a dark space. This was the first foundation that Hannah had to lay in her heart in order to truly provoke God. It was not that she planned it, but heaven had everything to do with it.

"I need to go and see my mother."

When we are in a sad state because we need things in life and do not have them, we go to other people we trust to tell them about the issues of our hearts.

One day, a woman said to her friend, I need to go and see my mother. My heart is not well, I am angered by my husband, and as such I know that my mother will comfort me.

This woman said that her mother would comfort her, but the question you should ask yourself is, after the woman was comforted, did that automatically make her issue disappear forever?

Hannah demonstrated the power of going to the right person to describe her sadness to: God. The question therefore that follows from that is, why did she not use her own house to pray?

We as people, understandable so, think that we do not need to go to church in order for our prayers to be answered by God. There is one thing that we need to understand about the concept of a church, and that is, it is the house of God. Having said that, it does not mean that every church you see on the streets has the presence of God, because after all, churches are built from bricks and stones. The house of God is there so that people such as Hannah can go there and submit their prayers with complete trust and assurance that they will be answered.

Hannah answers this question in this scripture when, after they had been merry with all the family members and friends, she decided to go to the church because she was troubled. She believed that the presence of God was in church; therefore, He would quickly hear her. Yes, I said the presence of God; He doesn’t reside anywhere, but He has specific places that He resides, just like in the days of Moses, David, and Solomon, when He resided in the tabernacle.

This was a super way of provoking God in His quiet time when tears were flowing from Hannah’s eyes, attracting the attention of God. To the benefit of Hannah, the priest was in the house to receive the message that God needed to pass on to her; he did what he was supposed to do and revealed God’s word to her.

To put this in practical terms, when you need something from your father or mother, you do not ask them when you are strolling in a park or when you are in a busy restaurant. You talk to your father in a proper setting, especially at home, where you know he will listen to you when you speak to him. The church has God’s presence, and you can go there and tell Him the desires of your heart.

    The Secret

THERE ARE MANY secrets that are delivered unto us from heaven (or even here on earth), but we all need the ones that will prosper us. I cannot hear what God is saying at all times, but I need to pray in the presence of those who hear God so that they can tell me. Think of it this way:

One day you go to China, and you know that you cannot speak that language. You know that you can do some business in this country that will make you rich. Do you go on your own and initiate these business discussions? The answer is no because you cannot speak to them so they understand what you are trying to say.

Even if they do understand, they can only answer you in their own home language; how do you then get the message and know what to say?

The secret lies in finding a local person who understands your language and can translate for you what the people are saying. Bingo! This translator is like the high priest; in the case of Hannah, she would have continued praying
