About this ebook
Eton Wolfe
Eton Wolfe grew up in a small country town with his three siblings, two older brothers and an older sister. As he was always into the arts he felt out of place, hiding his love for the craft from all. Eton is a disabled, visually impaired veteran of the United States Military and is active in the local church, using every opportunity to share his faith in the risen Lord Jesus and help in whatever way he can find to use the events in his life to reach out to others. Mr. Wolfe is quick to point out that his diminished eye sight has only increased his vision as he is currently attending school for a Bachelors in Theology with a minor in Apologetics. Some may find it difficult to understand how he, being spiritually minded could write on the subject of loving someone who is not able to freely return those feelings but as Eton says himself “We are all imperfect. We all have things that we must struggle against, the problem with many Christians today is that we do not show the world our frailties and in so doing they either do not think that we can understand how they feel or worse still they see through our facade and realize that the holier than thou persona is merely a mask.

Foreword
This book has basically the same dedication as the last, it is to my precious Eve Bent. May you someday fully know and come to understand exactly how deep my love for you goes. I await the day I can take you into these arms and share of our love forever.
Some who read may say how can one endure such pain? If this is your thought then my only wish is that someday you’ll find the one true love that you would spend fifty years waiting on, even if you knew that your time together would be measurable in moments. Every day without you, Eve, is as a thousand years and every second with you time seems to cease to exist. My prayer to God is that I can make you as happy as you have made me.
To the reader,
Thank you for purchasing this chronicle of devotion. In reading it you will come to understand that, though in poetic form, this is a continuation of my journal from the previous book Distant Winds. I would like to take the opportunity to state that once again the book is laid out in alphabetical order to allow one to easily search and reread one’s personal favorite poems.
Thank you again.
Adopted son of God Himself
The process was long and fraught with pain,
that adoption performed by the one true King,
did allow removal of all sin’s stain,
now to be known as God’s son.
For tis the blood that adorns me as gown,
allowing me through which be worthy of crown.
So that the Father be my Father now,
as through cross the great battle was won.
Yet not cross alone that victory gained,
but only after the Savior was slain,
then He arose to concur the grave,
was this that showed He bore no sin.
For if He had been merely a man,
as prophets of old who had tried take a stand,
He would have succumbed to all Satan had planned,
and the grave would have held Him within.
But no He arose on that beautiful day,
proof to the world that He is the way,
through simple belief in His holy name,
our shackles have been torn aside.
Can now boldly before my Savior stand,
need no longer relent to devil’s demands,
for I now walk with Christ hand within hand,
having that blessed assurance be mine.
No matter the stumble or how hard I fall,
He is beside me will be through it all,
till the day when I hear His sweet call,
and am found with the Father above.
Now I am son so hold I on dear,
to King of all kings I ever draw near,
tis by Jesus I need no longer fear,
I rest safe in the arms if His love.
By His lead
Lord of hosts we do not boast
In ourselves or sing our praise
It is in You we stumble through
The path as You lead the way
Yet each time the vines entwine
To mire down our souls
We find You unwind the lines
Once more to make us whole
Come forth daughter rise my son
You say with patient smile
Know that I am the only one
Who can help you through life’s trial
As the path we strayed from task
Comes firmly back in view
At last we bask in peace to have
A Savior such as You
Who gently guides and opens eyes
To plans long for us made
And heavenly light shows way to right
That we not fear the shadow’s shade
In our dreams You plant the seeds
Of what was meant to be
Castle walls with marbled halls
And purple tapestry
Beside the crystal sea
Such peace for you and me
For all eternity.
God’s slave
To the Lord of lords
I am but a slave
Though not confined by chains
But by His amazing grace
With the love of a Father
Who talks to me through prayer
I find my feet are quickened
For life’s load He helps me bear
Make no mistake, it is love
That draws me to His voice
Forever bound through shackle less faith
But I am a slave by choice
My heart is captured by my Lord
Each day from Him a gift
no the roads not easy
But all I am is His
So it is through Him
That I am found brave
Though I have a choice
I choose to be His slave.
The day draws near
Time shall soon pass away
The saved in victory shout
As King will then come to descend
Upon the Temple Mount
All earthly eyes turn in surprise
At final curtain’s fall
And we in love are born above
By the Master’s call
Joy be ours among the stars
For we are finally home
Pain no more to darken door
As we kneel around the throne
Time’s cruel blade will then fade
As each day begins anew
These withered hands made young again
Grey eyes returned to blue
No cripple or blind shall we
