CHAPTER ONE
The Story of Losing Weight
N OWADAYS, BEING SLIM and having a nice figure is something that everybody wants. Most of us have put a great deal of effort trying to achieve our perfect figure, and unfortunately, most of us have not succeeded, or we have only partially succeeded. Some of us have gotten the figure we liked but have been unable to maintain it, and some have gotten close to what we wished for, but we could not get our ideal body shape.
My story of losing weight and having my dream figure started like that of most other people. Losing weight and having a nice figure was my concern for a long time. In my teens, I started gaining weight and struggling to lose weight started since then, and it continued for many years until I finally found the solution. There were times that I starved myself to death to have a nice figure. I was always very hungry when I went to bed. The worst part was when I was at a party and I was craving to eat something, but I could never eat it. I was mostly hungry, but with all the efforts, unfortunately, I could not actually get the result that I was looking for. I lost weight, but I could not achieve the figure I was striving to have. There were times that I got so thin that I looked like a skeleton, and my face really became ugly because it was just bones, and I could see that I looked awful. At the same time, to my surprise, I was not satisfied with my figure either. I could see that I still didn’t look fit, and I was thinking to myself why I could not look like what I was wishing for. I thought that there had to be a problem somewhere, so I decided to dedicate myself more to losing weight and being really fit. I started taking up gym, I used slimming belts, I took slimming pills, and I went to slimming salons. Imagine how much money I had to spend on each of those activities or products, and all of them were in vain! None of them could give me the figure I was looking for. Now when I am thinking about it, I see that I could have a lot more of the things that I liked, if I hadn’t done all those useless works at that time. I was really hopeless. At the same time, I could not live with the idea of accepting myself with a not-so-fit figure. I really wanted a good figure; it really was important for me, and I was tired of trying. I was tired of not eating and starving, so I started eating, and you can imagine what happened. I even got farther from what I wanted. I was not fit, and I was not thin anymore. Actually, I was quite overweight in my own scale. For me, when someone told me I had put on a lot of weight, it was worse than any swear. At that time, I was really far from how I wanted to look. I couldn’t fit in
