MPOMELA THANDIWE RACHEL

Thandiwe Rachel Mpomela was born in 1976, in Bisiesvlei near Sannieshof, she grew up in a small community called Itsoseng (Known as Mooidorpie or Tlebebe), North West, South Africa. She completed her Matric in Tswelelopele High School. Thandiwe was brought up in a lovely home with her late father Priest Douglas Ndiniso Mpomela who encouraged her to study and read for he himself was a voracious reader. Her mother Johanna taught her to stand on her ground. She was a strong character who shaped Thandiwe and her two sisters. Thandiwe and her older sister grew up staying with a chain of relatives including her Aunty who mistreated her during primary school making her to sweep the yard twice a day before and after school, fetching water from the river, collecting fire woods, etc, She only eat a proper meal on Sundays because her father Douglas was the one responsible of buying the food they ate in their Aunty’s house who regularly came from church to check on them so the Aunty made sure they ate well that day. She is blessed with three lovely children, two of them being twins fathered by a man who never took his responsibility as a father seriously and fits the description of 1 Timothy 5:9 saying ”if someone does not provide for his own, especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel”. She has studied HRM, Copy-editing, Train the manager and Secretarial. She stayed out of her country for more than five years and worked for different International companies and organisations such as, SADC Secretariat; National Olympic Committee; DHL; Olive Leaf Foundation; UNISA; and Sun International. She strongly believes that she was lucky and highly favoured by the Lord Almighty to allow her to meet immoral people first because they made her strong, understand her real life purpose, changed her attitude towards life by focusing on the positives or possibilities only. Her life journey was full of exciting activity. She learned to have Faith and prayed to God to give her all her heart’s desire. She can do justice to any story and believes that freedom begins with the mind. She is strong willed and supportive. She believes challenges are there to make her strong and to push her to another level. Her books are the result of hard work and sleepless nights, from the woman who decided to expose herself and her mind and lay herself bare to the entire humankind to ask, affect and change other people’s speculation and attitude through self improvement. Thandiwe is surely an exceptional woman who is self driven by her quest for knowledge and sharing her knowledge with other people. You won’t talk to her for a couple of minutes or read her books without being inspired or transformed.
