Chapter 1
What People Say Can Hurt You
You’ll never make it. You will always be a failure. You are going to wind up just like your no good father.
Nobody loves you. Nobody cares for you. Nobody in your family ever did anything great and you will follow in their footsteps.
You are trash.
There is nothing good inside of you. Nothing good will ever happen to you. Nothing good will ever come out of you.
Has anyone ever said these kinds of words to you?
Have you ever spoken these things to yourself?
There are so many people that are living in failure, defeat and regret, and wonder why they can never seem to rise to a life of peace, joy, success, satisfaction and self fulfillment.
These are people who have accepted the negative things others have said to them and concerning them. They have received these negative words in their hearts, thought on them, believed them, spoken them and now they are living them.
I know what I am talking about.
For years I could not seem to succeed. It just looked as if I was destined to fail. It appeared as if I was cursed with a lifestyle of poverty, depression and misery.
I came to find out that much of my failure and depression was because of how I thought.
The Bible tells us that as a person thinks in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7)
My mind was filled with negative thoughts and evil thinking about myself. These thoughts were destructive to my entire life.
They were destructive thoughts.
Chapter 2
What Are Destructive Thoughts?
What are destructive thoughts?
Destructive thoughts are seeds that have been planted into the soil of our minds, which when watered and nurtured, form belief systems in us which hinder our progress and destroy our infinitives, our dreams and our purpose.
These thoughts cause us to think little of ourselves, and feel as if we are nobody and as if we don’t deserve to have anything.
These thoughts tell us that we are not special and that we can never do anything significant.
They scream at us and tell us that we will never be anything, never do anything
