Poems of Grateful Praise is a collection of Tabithas expressions of love for all occasions, designed to encourage and inspire others in times of joy, sorrow, and thanksgiving. Tabithas passion for poetry has continued over the years since she penned her first poem in 1996. This growing love of expression culminated in the publication of her first book, Poems and Praise, in 2010. Poems of Grateful Praise is Tabithas second book and most recent work.

With her God-given talent, Tabitha praises her creator daily, thanking him for his many blessings. Her daily devotions with him elevate her to that spiritual realm, connecting her to the Vine, the Great Father above. She also writes poems for family, friends, and organizations to commemorate special occasions.

Poems of Grateful Praise is a celebration of hope and joy and a message of Gods grace for all.

Tabitha A. Lewis

Tabitha Abiola Lewis is the second of five daughters born to Ashwoode and Miriam Nelson in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa. She received her secondary education at the Saint Joseph’s Convent Secondary School in Freetown, Sierra Leone. In 1967, she migrated to the United States and later obtained a BS degree in technology of management, computer systems applications from American University in Washington, D.C. (1979). She is an accomplished computer system professional with over thirty years of experience. Tabitha also enjoys writing poems. Her first poem was penned in 1996, during quiet meditation and prayers at the closing of the year. Tabitha is married to William Benjamin Lewis and is the proud mother of three daughters—Velma, Omorotimi, and Ibironkeh—and a son, Benjamin, who is married to Evelyn. Tabitha is also blessed with two grandchildren—Benjamin Jr. and Amanda, whose twin brother Robert is resting in peace with Jesus.
