Life offers beautiful and romantic moments with

the sun rises, endlessly stretching deep and calm
oceans, dew drops glistening on grass blades on a
winter morning, tall deciduous trees rising high
and high to reach the sky.. the list is endless.

It is harsh and ugly too at times what with
wars, early deaths, tsunamis, cyclones, loss of
near and dear world is full of darkness.

Why cant it remain beautiful forever??

Why cant it always remain a romantic place?

Why isnt there everlasting peace?


Answers can be found in these poems written over a
period of two years, born out of a four decades old
quest to find answers to these nagging questions.

They mirror what everyones heart has experienced
and felt but carried away by the stream of life before
an imprint is made.

They are everyones own footprints.

Tiny life

A tiny life that started its journey

Way back in a tiny place this day.

What rivers it crossed, what mountains it climbed

Watched many suns rise in the east

Saw many more went down the west

Stared many a time at the dark cloud

Watched in joy rain drops splatter the ground

Had pleasure and pain use its mind

As a ground to play around.

Always thought it was riding the horse

Little did it know that life’s course

Wouldn’t go where it always wished it go

Nevertheless it had the pleasure that it was always on the go.

There is a silver lining to the darkness

Like a blind one’s heightened sense of awareness

This tiny life is given to work wonders

Can go around the world watching wonders

can create wonderful creations

As wonderful as the Creator of all Creations.

Would like to remain tiny

Unassuming, tucked in a corner

Wishing to have a home away from many

A
