    Dedication

This is especially dedicated to my mom who has been my greatest supporter all my life. I am who I am because of the support and trust given to me even when I least deserved it. Thank you for always being there for me.

This is also dedicated to the friends and family members who, over the years, kept encouraging me to do what I needed to do. This has taken a long time, but I am finally here.

Last but not least, this book is dedicated to all the clients who trusted in me and gave me the opportunity to serve. You have taught me a lot, and I am most grateful for that.

    PART 1

    Introduction -- Hypnosis

    What is Hypnosis

A quick search on the internet for the phrase Mind Body Connection brings up more than 350,000 entries. Another search for the word hypnosis, on the other hand, pulls up way over 5.9 million entries.

The statement above was written approximately eight years ago. When I typed the same phrase into Google today in 2016, I am given 17.8 million results and 30.1 million results respectively. That's 17,800,000 and 30,100,000 in case you are wondering how many zeroes there are. There is certainly a whole lot of information out there on hypnosis and the mind-body connection. Yet despite the easy access to so much information and knowledge today and the huge leap in terms of information put there for the world's access - the term Hypnosis is still very misunderstood. Just like when I first started the use of hypnosis as a tool to assist people (and myself) in changing our lifestyles or to making improvements to further our growth in personal or professional development, many still have huge misconceptions about this process.

When ever I mention the word, it never fails to illicit a very similar type of response from a multitude of people. Some are fascinated and think you have the ability to control their minds. Some ladies are impressed as they press me for a demonstration. Others think it's not real and just some silly gimmick or trick that stage artists use for entertainment. But perhaps the worst reaction I would receive would be from those who warn of God's retribution for dabbling in the occult or black magic or devil worship.

What? You don't believe me? I have to admit, I was a little surprised myself when I first encountered this. And no, it is not just within a developing nation society. I first encountered this over 15 years ago when I first started practicing in the US. Yes, even in the US -- a developed nation -- such reactions are not uncommon. Most recently I was talking with this chap in New Zealand. Seems like a good guy, and we were talking about global warming and how there is
