Grandma’S Hands: A Portrait in Time
()
About this ebook
This beautifully written book, consisting of twenty poems mainly reflecting life as it was in Americas Jim Crow South, takes the reader on a powerful journey from slavery to present-day society.
Through her unique and eloquent style, Rachel Bryant manages to capture and convey the thoughts and feelings of characters so cleverly portrayed throughout this provocative and awe-inspiring book.
While the majority of poems were written for mature audiences, readers will find several poems that are appropriate for all.
Rachel Bryant
Rachel Bryant is a mother, educator, and writer who has witnessed the emotional and physical turmoil of domestic violence. She is fully aware of the long-term consequences of its traumatizing and toxic effects on the mind, body, and soul of victims young and old from all walks of life. She hopes this book will provide the insight and inspiration needed for those involved in abusive relationships to escape their persecutors not only to survive but, perhaps, even thrive in the absence of oppression.
