To the late Dr Myles Munroe, when you departed on 9 November 2014 to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, I was busy reading the book Glory of Living. On the morning of 10 November 2014, when I heard the news, I remembered the words from your book that you asked this question: ‘My question to you, will we ever read your books, will your glory ever be on display for others to enjoy?’

Then something in me was awakened, and I told myself that I will display the glory of God within me during my lifetime. The legacy you left for our generation will last forever. You really maximised your potential. I have learned a lot from your books and messages. I bless you and thank the Almighty God for your life well lived and all your potential fully maximised.

PREFACE

P ersonally, I believe that becoming the best of the best is the goal of everyone in the race of life. Every man and woman in all walks of life desire to expose and maximise their personal potential. It is a fact of life that every human being desires the best of the best that life can offer. All human races exist for the purpose of manifesting the hidden abilities in them.

Another man of God once said the greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a purpose, and so the extreme embarrassment in life will be to not display your true nature, the best of the best in you. Many men and women are being buried every day without ever experiencing all that they were supposed to be. Why do so many individuals live their entire lives without ever experiencing the best of the best in their lives, while others are living at the top of their careers, marriages, and businesses, enjoying the fulfilled life?

I believe that becoming the best of the best in your life must be your first priority because it holds the key to your personal satisfaction and fulfilment. Being the best of the best is your true nature and the full essence of your being. The Creator premeditated all things to have the best of the best within, but these are buried within and need to be raised.

Your purpose is to manifest the true you from within. You and every one of the individuals on this globe are equipped within with the best of the best from God, and it is the Creator’s desire that each one realises and releases the fullness of God from within.

Yet the question may be: ‘How do I become the best of the best?’ I wrote this book to provide you with the knowledge of the precious senses of the soul and spirit that are instilled in you so that you can maximise them and produce your true essence. I believe you will fill this generation with the perfume of your glory.

May the following pages stir within your soul and spirit the stimulation, enthusiasm, and thirst to become the best of the best during your lifetime and to move your daily life from victory to victory, success to success, and glory to glory. I believe you will become the best of the best.

We will be exploring the senses of the soul and spirit of our being in this book in order to maximise the best of the best in us. We will not focus on the dimension of the will, mind, and emotion in the soul but the five senses as well as the five senses of the spirit.

INTRODUCTION

T he fear of accepting one’s calling often stems from the feeling of inadequacy and a failure to understand one’s significance in this world. If you have been taught long enough that you are ‘nothing’, it becomes almost impossible for you to believe it when I tell you that you are the best of the best.

God created you for a purpose. Proverbs 19:21 says, ‘Many plans occupy the mind of a man, but the LORD’s purposes will prevail.’ I believe his purpose for your life—for you to become the best of the best—will prevail.

I know that the fear of many in accepting that God made them to be the best of the best may be very real. Why do you think you are nobody? Why are you filled with inferiority complex, doubts, and thoughts of other people being better than you? This book will help you to rise above this mediocrity mindset and set your mind high above, where Christ is. You are the best of the best. There have never been a person like you, and after you, there will never be anyone like you. The psalmist put it this way: ‘I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvellous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well’ (Psalm 139:14).

In this book, we will be exploring to understand the senses of the soul and the spirit, as most people understand the body’s senses. A man is a three-in-one being. He is a spirit being, having a soul and living in a body. Most of us are familiar with the senses of the body (sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch) but are not aware of the senses of the soul and the spirit. In the coming chapters of this life-transforming book, we will be explain the five senses of the soul and the five senses of the spirit very clearly so that you will know how to maximise the best of the best given to you by God.

You may be asking, ‘How important am I really to the world and to God?’ It is no easy to come up with a confident answer to this question, but as you go through this powerful book, you will clearly see how important you are and how profound it is to release the best of the best within you. This book will build up your confidence and align you with the perfect will of God for your life.

See this perfect picture concerning you in Psalm 8:3–6:

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers. The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him. And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honour. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet.

To tell you the honest truth, you are more than what you think you are. As you read this powerful book, read it with a pure meditative and prayerful heart because your life will be transformed from mediocrity to the best of the best this world has never heard of.

Many in the course of life have become fearful and are lacking the confidence to receive the best of heaven upon their lives. You may say, ‘No, not me, maybe my neighbour. I am just an ordinary man or woman, girl or boy.’ God’s plans and purpose for your life are different from what he has for others on earth. You are the conduit of his glory, and you were born to deliver something special into this world that is going to touch the generations yet unborn.

Remember, the water pipes carries or transfer water from one side to another. You are the same as the water pipe or shipper. Just allow God to transfer his glory in you. See a picture of a water reservoir; its main work is to store water, but it will need the pipes to carry the water from the reservoir to different communities and towns through different kinds of pipes. The Almighty God is the source of life, and you are the carrier of his life to spread it all over the earth.

You Are Equipped

Whatever God calls for you to do, he provides you with all the necessary abilities required to carry out his duties. God has provided you with all the potential, abilities, gifts, and talents you need to become the best of the best in this life. You can become what the Almighty God created you to become in this life. You were born to be an agent of change, an agent of hope, an agent of transformation, and an agent of deliverance for your generation. You are equipped with all the capabilities and responsibilities to become the best of the best in your sphere of influence in this world.

I believe that as you study this book in meditation and prayer, you will discover your true purpose and potential. As you discover the senses of your soul and spirit in this book, just channel them to work for you, and you will be surprised about what you can do in this life. Rise to the challenge and maximise your talents and time, knowing and understanding you were designed for greater things in your generation.

Dr Myles Munroe said, ‘All people on earth—in every nation and of every race—must realise the capacity for greatness that lies dormant within them and develop the mind-set of a change agent. As we recognise our potential to bring about change through initiating our purpose, and as we take steps of faith in that direction, God will bring tremendous positive change to our world.’ What a powerful statement to read about and meditate on again and again.

As You Think, So Are You

Proverbs 23:7 says, ‘As a man think in his heart, so is he.’

In this life, you will become what you are thinking in your heart. In the Bible, mostly the word heart talks about your mind. You are who you are because of the thoughts you have been thinking. Think high of yourself in a very healthy way; it can help your self-image and -worth. Watch over your thoughts, and you will become a wonder in your lifetime. Never worry about those who think negatively of you. Let them do their jobs, but you focus on becoming the best of the best. It needs a lifetime commitment and responsibility to feed your mind with the right information.

I personally believe life is not difficult; the problem with the human race is that most people are refusing to connect with the Creator. Honestly speaking, you made no efforts to be alive, you did not choose your birthday, you didn’t plan to be born in the family you were born in, and you didn’t choose your mother and father. Only God can orchestrate your life into the league of the best of the best. You are created for him.

Apostle Paul, in Colossians 1:15–18, put it this way:

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were
