Prologue

To all those

who wonder if God exists,

who intellectually know God exists but don’t see him in their lives,

who crave a relationship with God,

who want to know how the Bible is real in their lives, or

who have strayed from their church community thinking there is nothing in it for them.

This book’s chapters are not profound biblical teaching, but they offer the meaning and application of each of those topics as they have been woven into my life and have meaning for me. I wanted to show that each of these topics has relevance today. My hope and prayer is that you will find the meaning and relevance of each of these topics in your life.

There is no author bio because I believe it’s about the message, not the messenger. In this book, you will see my belief that my life is not about myself, but you will read stories from my life that exemplify and clarify the messages. I am simply the legacy of spiritual leaders in my life including my grandmother, a priest and close friend of the family, parents, husband, pastors, and other priests all of whom have influenced me.
