Tamela Lucus

Tamela Lucus is a woman that has been truly blessed. At the age of twenty, she was given the opportunity to raise her siblings (two brothers and one sister). All of them are successful today because of God. Through her first marriage she was blessed with three beautiful children (two boys and one girl). Two of them are deaf and through her children, she had the opportunity to understand the deaf community. She is an advocate for social change of the laws for those that are either disabled or handicapped. In her second marriage she was blessed with three children (two boys and one girl) and three grandchildren. Do you see a pattern? She received her Associates Degree in 1994 in Early Childhood Education. Within four years, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Master’s Degree (2008) in Early Childhood Education. She has worked with children ever since 1990. In 2011, she received her certificate as a Drug Addiction Counselor. Currently, she is working on her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership.
