DEDICATION
T HIS BOOK IS dedicated to my mother who loved and supported me the best she knew how.
Thank you mom for believing in me.
Memories of Betrayal
God how do I use the key which is my spirit that you control to unlock the blockage of past pain, confusion, resentment, betrayals and failed loves.
I see no way to feel, what I am reaching out to grab a hold of.
The invisible pulling force that nags away at the pit of my stomach.
No pain just a 5th degree burning desire to know my purpose, my being and myself.
What is it that my soul cries out for, that my mind does not seem to understand, the signal it sends but my body reacts to.
The doors between my mind and my soul must be opened so that I and my purpose may be released to soar free, so the blood of desire that burns may flow and nourish my mind.
Then the silent scream can be released, my voice can be heard by many as a pleasant melody of hope and inspiration.
CHAPTER I
The Memories Begin
M EMORIES OF MY youth is scattered thanks to my mystical mind protecting me by blacking out whenever my body suffered spasms during past traumatic experiences. My childhood was bitter sweet but I thank God for everything I endured. There were times I was near death but surviving made me strong. My birth name is Gia Mellow, however I call myself Shine as a reminder to look at the bright side of bad circumstances. I was born on October 26, 1967 in the midst of a terrible blizzard which is the norm for a Chicago winter.
My mom told me everything was shut down due to snow on the day she went into labor. She was sitting on the toilet thinking she had to have a bowel movement. She called my grandmother who told her fool get off the toilet before you drown your baby. So mom got off the toilet and waited for my dad to come get her. He went to get his unemployment check because he was in between jobs. When my dad finally arrived he drove within a mile of the hospital before his car broke down. She and my dad rode Public transportation as far as they could before the out of service sign was displayed. They had to walk several blocks to make it to the hospital in knee deep snow. when they finally made it to the hospital they wheeled mom into a room to monitor and examine her. She told me their was a lady screaming to the top of her lungs blurting out all types of obscenities towards he husband. At that point mom suggested to
