Shadows from a Wounded Soul: The Nuance of My Soliloquy
()
About this ebook
Within this realm of reality which you and I call home, we experience trials of many kinds. It's one of those things that binds us all together, however unique the details. Shadows From A Wounded Soul is a collection of experiences that I believe many can relate to. So come join me in the revelry of my triumphs; stand fast with courage and back to back we'll face the darkness together. For at the end of the day, it's our experiences that make us who we are.
Jander Goodfellow
Jander Goodfellow discovered at an early age that his best outlet for the emotional and mental stress of growing up was to write it down in poetic form. For Jander, poetry became the journal of his life where triumphs were recorded, his heart was spilled, and demons were caged. Years later (more than he’d care to admit), Jander’s still fueling his poetry and, some say, still growing up. With the undying support of his wife, Latanya, and their energetic, ever-inspirational nine-year-old daughter, Myrissa, the Goodfellows reside happily in the small Alberta town of Westlock. This is Jander’s first book.

Foreword:
I have always loved the beauty of Poetry, how words alone can grip the mind and stimulate the soul. Poetry is a feeling, like the tears of happiness or sorrow that we don’t speak of. It’s the cries of a breaking heart and the songs of love that we keep locked away. Within these pages lay just some of the hopes, trials and tribulations that have made me who I am.
So take a deep breath if you dare,
And settle into your favorite chair.
Of my plights and dreams, have a care,
As some were written amidst despair.
May my hopes lift your spirit,
As my demons make you ponder.
