About this ebook

Love Letters is a host of expressions and thoughts of love I wrote to my future wife whom I met overseas. Most of the letters have little nuggets of truth I feel any couple could use to gain a clear insight into the inner workings of a mutually advantageous relationship.

To those who have loved and maintained and to those who have loved and lost.

The first encountered beauty of life’s journey is the beginning, and the second is the love that is shared by two who choose to live their lives as one; always remember, even love lost is far better than love never found.

Love Letters is a host of expressions and thoughts of love I wrote to my future wife whom I met overseas. Most of the letters have little nuggets of truth I feel any couple could use to gain a clear insight into the inner workings of a mutually advantageous relationship.

I am not a psychologist or marriage counselor. I am just an average guy who has made mistakes in life and, hopefully, learned from them. Love Letters is what I have learned about relationships.

    —J. W. Anderson Jr.

    The Beginning

    Dear Lacey,

I am so sorry to hear about your friend and the struggles she is going through. People nowadays just don’t have any discipline. So many individuals in our world have sex like animals in heat. But we, as human beings, have something inside us that separate us from the animals—a spirit that raises us above the base instincts so we can serve a higher calling. I would rather die than dishonor your trust in me. My love, you are all the woman I want and need. Your love and trust is more important to me than all the treasures of the earth. Because all the treasures of the earth are temporary: you come into this world with nothing, and you leave this world with nothing. The only things that will last are those actions you did on earth in love, with no thoughts of yourself. These are the treasures you build in heaven that will last throughout all eternity.

I love you completely, and that love in itself is a beautiful treasure that I don’t ever want to lose it. No base physical, temporary sexual experience with another woman could ever be worth that. I feel deep inside the secret places of my heart that you feel the same way. I know you are committed to me as I am committed to you. Our trust in each other is complete.

Let us both pray for your friend and her husband and maybe he will see the error of his ways and come back to the woman who said I do. And hopefully, your friend can see the errors of her ways as well. Because in a true loving relationship, people do not cheat for no reason; there had to be warning signs of a relationship going down the wrong path.
