About this ebook

He will feed His flocks like a shepherd; He will gather the lamb with His arm, And carry them into his bosom, And gently lead those who are with young. ISAIAH 40:3

The reason for writing this manuscript, is that there are few shepherds who understand very well the responsibility of shepherds. The aim of this book is to enlighten those who call themselves pastors or shepherds and those who lead congregations, to arise and do the work they have been assigned to do with an understanding of what they are letting themselves into.

    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

    DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to all ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, whom God has trusted them enough to be shepherds of His flock, his people. May we learn and walk on the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ who refers to Himself as a true and good Shepherd, whose love and care knows no boundaries.

He says that, My sheep know My voice and follow Me. This is as a result of a shepherd being close to his flock that enables them to recognise their sherpherd’s voice. How many of us can we be that confident that the people whom we lead as shepherds know our voices and will they follow us, therefore?

The reason for this, is that there are few shepherds who understand very well the responsibility of shepherds. The aim of this book is to enlighten those who call themselves pastors or shepherds and those who lead congregations, to arise and do the work they have been assigned to do with an understanding of what they are letting themselves into.

I call shepherds to arise and take up their positions through learning from the True Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Firstly, I would like to thank God for allowing me to shepherd His flock for the last 11 years. I have learned so much from the experience. I can comfortably say that I will never be the same again. To pioneer a church needs total surrender, total reliance and total dedication to God. It has not been an easy road to take but a necessary road to take out of total obedience of God. I have seen Him as a shepherd to me, directing, and training me about how a true and a good shepherd should behave like. I will always praise Him for being true to His side of a bargain. I now understand why he called me to shepherd His shepherds.

To GNCC Cape Town, thank you family for your undying support, and especially for supporting this part of my ministry which I did not know I have in me. I always saw myself as a pastor whose ministry is to overseer one church until I started raising, training and releasing ministers and speaking things that I cannot even comprehend over their lives, I therefore would like to appreciate every minister who served under my ministry until he or she was officially affirmed (ordained). I have reproduced many sons who are different and yet complement each other in every way.

I would like to appreciate the Author house publishers, U.K. who took me under their wing and gave me lessons on how to be an author of book. This is a second offering under their guidance.

As always, I have a team of men and women who are always ready to critique my work when asked to do so. Thank you Prophet Phumza and Pastor Ndumi, his wife; Pastor Zwane and Bro Mthuthu for bringing new perspective into this project. Pastor Sivu thank you for your connections. Thandi, you know that I could not send this manuscript raw to the publishers. Thank you so much for your editorial assistance.

To my wife and children, thank you guys for allowing me to steal some of your time to
