I absolutely love the concept of this book since it allowed me to pen what was in my heart without restrictions. Conversations such as these are good therapy for the soul and should be held at least once a month. Taking time out to share is important and the way the book is written, the characters could be any two or three individuals. The book allows you to insert yourself and whomever you choose to have a conversation with. At first when the Lord did not provide names of the main characters, I could not understand why but when He began to reveal to me that it is done intentionally because it affords the readers the chance to plug in their own name and the names of friends. There is enough time for formality and to me when sharing in this type of setting; it removes barriers so you can let your hair down.

I hope everyone who reads these books is richly blessed by the conversations and are able to share in it with us.

Ms. Grey is originally from the British West Indies, however, has been residing in the United States of America for most of her life. Her adult life consist of many travels and various experiences which brought her to the place of writing this particular book based on what she realized is lacking in many relationships. As she listened intently to other females throughout her travels or just through moments of sharing noticed a common thread and that being a genuine friendship in which to share life events even if it only for a short while. Ms. Grey herself has longed for such a relationship and wondered what that type of relationship would entail. This is when she began seeking the Lord for answers to her many questions. One of Ms. Grey’s passions is the fact that teaching is a part of everyday living and should be seized in each opportunity offered. Jesus used a simple method to teach His disciples not only about Him but also encouraged them to be confident in whom they were. Therefore, when we make it a point to fulfill “Go ye therefore and teach all nations…”, we must do so with the simplicity and love following the example Christ left. You will notice the book does not call the main two women by name. Ms. Grey believes with leaving them nameless, allows anyone to visualize a personal interaction with friend/love ones making it a more personal experience as they read through the book. The book was meant to be simple, fun, but most importantly, taking time to share with those who hold significance to us. I believe Ms. Grey has accomplished just that as you will find out in some of the phrases used.

Sitting back watching the interactions between my three children, especially when it is a conversation of interest, is exhilarating. At intervals the pitch in their tones grows as they reach an agreement in an observation. The joy of them sharing has inspired the concept of this book; therefore, I dedicate this book to my three wonderful children, Christopher, Jason, Shyne; and to my grandson, Devin.

To my sisters in the faith, Grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Life has a way of beating us down if we are not careful. Why endure it on our own, a social support system is vital to a healthy life. Life is meant to be shared. Remember the phrase no man is an island? Well, it is true. Life was not and it is not meant to be lived alone.

Women have a way of connecting in so many ways such as through a conversation about our children, an outfit, schools, and even a hair style. If all of these areas can be discussed, and shared secrets exposed, why not the essence of life?

Here we are again. Sit back and enjoy the conversation.

Drive to the Café

My goodness this traffic is absolutely horrible! Everyone apparently decided to leave work at the same time. I thought we were in a recession! Where all these people get the money to buy a car? I had to laugh at myself because I recall one morning leaving for work at 5:45 a.m. and I asked a rhetorical question, why are all these people on the road at this time of the morning? Since my daughter and I shared a vehicle during that time, she responded with her eyes still closed mom, I guess they are going to work just like you. I looked over at her and just smiled. So I guess the same way I had the money to purchase my car, they did as well. On that note, if I am not careful with my speed I will be on my way to getting a ticket and be later than I already am to meet my sister. Wonder if she is there? Last time I had to wait on her so I guess it is her turn to wait on me, laughing. It is really good that we set aside time each month to meet and catch up on what has been going on with each other you know, just life in general. We honestly have some great conversations, it does not matter the length of time we talk but the quality of what we talk about. This was obvious and loved how God blew our minds when Toni and Shea joined us! I have kept in touch with them as promised and it blessed my soul to hear they are both doing quite well and have had business successes since our meeting. I firmly believe as we go through life there are times when we need to be refreshed so we can continue living. That’s important. After all, it is like filling up our car with gas, but all the running
